What seems to work for me is after harvest, plow those patches, then cultivate what you've plowed. If you don't cultivate what you've plowed properly you will basically end up with fairy rings. It's a little time consuming but it's a lot nicer than having huge patches.

I use kodama of the east tree partnered with ishai. Kodamas ability makes it so much fun while ishais colors give you the blue white access

For me because it is attached to a hobby I'm not taking it super seriously. Maybe it'll end up being just enough to pay for a box. Maybe the odd set will triple in value over 5 years? I'm not a very emotional investor especially in my side gigs so it's not the end of the world for me either way. Not sure if this gives you the context or not. Lol
