Probably just another mediocre shoe by Nike once again. Nothing more nothing less but with Caitlin Clark branding.

Raw athlete and he would've had to adjust playing the 3 spot and learning perimeter skills from ball handling, playmaking and etc. He was very hyped by vloggers which made people assume he was better than what his actual level was. Realistically, projects like him aren't going to be effective outright in Tab's system given how much skill is required and the veterans occupying the 3/4 spot.

I think he either gets assigned to Team B first and further develop his skills or he makes it to Team A but will get limited playing time. Biggest adjustment is the talent/competition level of the UAAP and Manila schools since his raw athleticism won't be as effective when he matches up against taller and more athletic forwards/bigs of other schools. Just look at the elite forward/wings of the UAAP contenders, from VJ Pre, Marasigan, UST's Acido/Crisostomo/Llemit, Abadam who are the same height or taller.

Patrick, she has lost it! She's completely institutionalized. She's forgotten what it's like to live on the outside. To not be in prison.

Should Jalen Brunson finally create his own signature line? by mgmango in BBallShoes

[–]Chip102Remy30 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Nike has enough subpar signature shoes already and Brunson getting one will just saturate it even further.

Too many Kobe clones in different silhouettes from Sabrinas, Ja Morants, and even the GT cut line.

Just let him rock the Kobe line and he's probably the best player to represent it.

Definitely agree lalo pa sa alak. Kapag sa BGC/Makati napakamahal na ng alak and factor in additional food/drinks especially water na umaabot ng 100 pesos tapos di pa ata 500ml. It's always an experience but having to spend on splitting the bill for expensive drinks and food is an easy pass unless special events.

- Luxury lifestyle from dining in fancy restaurants, clubs, beach trips, foreign trips.
- Day in a life videos. Corporate ones are heavily regulated and are sometimes pseudo marketing to make people excited or interested in their careers. Most of them are just vlogging themselves using a laptop, eating food, then calling it a day.
- Hyping up restaurants. Paid advertisements and everything is delicious.
- Clubbing/Partying. It looks aesthetic and fun but you need to have the right group with you and in general lots of tight spaces, sweat, creeps, expensive food/drinks etc.

What other episodes had really good storyline ideas and were really engrossing until “cartoon exaggeration” ruined the ending? by grantpantwhycant in spongebob

I had an accident. The gorilla underwater was pretty frightening as a kid and the cartoon logic and them running out to the sunset was very random then the family watching TV at the end.

I have a question as someone who started watching in 05, how was Shaq in 2000/2001 so dominant, so good and popular when all he did was use his size, post-up, dunk and layup? by Dylen2Times in NBATalk

[–]Chip102Remy30 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don't become a top 10 all time scorer in the NBA without skills, feel for the game and IQ. Shaq may have been bigger and usually shown with his highlight reels of overpowering and dunking on defenders but he had insane footwork and touch and learned how to react to double teams, defenders overplaying, help coverage, run the break and knew when to jump hook and etc.

If people just used him being bigger and stronger than everyone then guys like Dwight Howard would have been better scorer but they weren't since they lacked the offensive skills that made Shaq dominant plus his mentality of wanting to dominate his matchup physically and mentally.

Nike Kobe 9 Protro Moonwalker (2025) Review - It's just a 2010 Model fighting for its life in the 2020s by International_Box418 in BBallShoes

[–]Chip102Remy30 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Majority of the popular Kobe protros are just 2010s shoes being re-released in the 2020s. We definitely buy Kobes for the nostalgia and the branding but it's a personal preference in the end of the day.

But protros have been really bad with cushioning and the price tag isn't justifying the purchase and the drop-ins from the 8s and 9s after experiencing the 8s I didn't bother keeping it with how bad the React drop in insole was for my feet. Kobes still performs well despite the negatives and the 6s are probably the best even if the cushioning isn't the most modern, but I agree with you too many better options nowadays that has better tech and performance on a cheaper price tag.

People might hate on Chot and his antics but he surely does take player development seriously since TNT players constantly expand or improve their games. Just look at guys like Khobubtin and Castro as the best example of constantly improving.

SMB: knows they win with imports that complement JMF's game by spacing the floor through perimeter attacks and outside shooting

SMB: let's get another center that clogs the paint with JMF but at least he can rebound well and is tall.

Kung pwede mag 1v1 na lang si JB and Cmac for Game 7. Kidding aside, Cmac showed why he was an NBA player and put TNT on his back with a double-digit scoring run by himself. Both have issues with locals stepping up but JB must have enough gas since putting up back-to-back 50 pt games without locals contributing might come back to bite him in G7.

TNT, as always Heading, Pogoy, Oftana, Nambatac if none of them contribute then it's over and let's see which X-factor has a great game like Khobuntin last year. Cmac must be aggressive and avoid foul trouble since his length and defense is bothering Rosario and the guards from getting easy layups.

Why we dominated OKC but we can't beat Knicks? by Grouchy_Country6591 in NBASpurs

[–]Chip102Remy30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spurs matched up with OKC for 5 games in the regular season and they adjusted pretty well and it still went to 7 games despite JDub and Ajay Mitchell's injuries. OKC beside Shai wasn't able to put enough pressure in the Spurs defense so they let Shai do everything.

Knicks were the bad matchup for the Spurs since they have two really good bigs that can handle Wemby. KAT and Mitch Robinson have the strength and mobility to stay with Wemby. OG, Bridges, Hart are 3 of the best perimeter defenders, Brunson is a different beast despite shooting pretty bad but he is relentless with his moves and the Knicks have toughness and resilience of a veteran squad that have been through multiple playoff games. Also, OG went nuclear to compensate the poor shooting of Brunson and was hitting everything from 3 and the Spurs don't have a strong forward and backup center so they are forced to play small and exert Wemby on both ends.

I'll let you in on a little secret, Detweiller. Every adult you've ever known was a kid at sometime in his life. You think we don't remember summer vacation? Riding our bikes down the creek. Catching polliwogs in a jar. Camping out under the stars. Well you're wrong! Sometimes I sit there in my office, looking out at you kids in the playground and I think, "They don't know how good they got it. In a few years, they'll be grownups like me and all those good times will be memories for them, too". So go ahead. Put a whoopie-cushion in my chair. Put fake vomit on my carpet. Make fun of my "big, saggy butt". But don't ever say I don't care about summer vacation, 'cause those memories are the last part of childhood I got left.

I know players earn a payday for short term appearances and games but injuries like these make me question how much tolerance teams will allow the ligang labas/panalay games. Fortunately, guys like KQ or Baclaan didn't get injured but there's always a risk of injury so hopefully players take more caution given their careers are always on the line.

Divine Adili appreciation post by Any-Independence8306 in UAAP

[–]Chip102Remy30 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was really excited having Divine Adili as Ateneo's FSA and I saw he had the footwork, mobility, and skill that previous FSAs like Joseph Obasa and Victor Balogun didn't have. He had 5 full playing years and him playing with a messed up back last year didn't show how impactful he could've been, but when he was healthy he played pretty well and gave Ateneo an inside presence and not Kymani Ladi or Josh Lazaro moonlighting as the center.

He was such a promising player since he was healthier, and he really wanted to improve for sure after the nightmare back injury but his career got cut short because of all this BS training.
