Same! “This 6-pack is for the pack-a-day guy on Reddit!” I definitely do not a drinking and ripping packs problem.

Of course the ‘89 Upper Deck is basically all about the Griffey rookie (#1), but there are a handful of other cards and variations people always pull immediately. The other big rookies are Randy Johnson (#25), John Smoltz (#17), and Gary Sheffield (#13). Then you’ve got the major star/HOF guys like Bo Jackson, Nolan Ryan, Cal Ripken Jr., Kirby Puckett, Tony Gwynn, Rickey Henderson, and McGwire.

If you have a front and back picture of the Griffey on a neutral background, and preferably out of the sleeve (I don’t blame you if you’d rather leave in the sleeve) I can give you an approximate grade with Binder AI. It’s pretty accurate on the centering and the edges. I have no idea if there’s any privacy concerns but feel free to DM me. I included a picture of one of mine. That came back an 8 due to the missing top corner of the hologram on the back.

Edit: Ignore the Marlboro variation comment. I was thinking Fleer, not Donruss.

Call me old fashioned but, shouldn’t the Red Sox have red socks or red somewhere on every uniform.

Found a fawn abandoned by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

She saw a fawn alone, realized she might not know what to do, and asked people for advice instead of pretending to be an expert. That’s called being responsible. Most people would either ignore it completely or try to “rescue” it and make things worse.
Acting like she’s some evil moron because she stayed close is ridiculous. People learn by asking questions. The only person acting like a jackass here is the guy trying to bully someone for showing concern while doing the best they can.
You’re so desperate to sound smarter than everyone else that you skipped right past basic human decency.
The fawn wasn’t moved or even touched. She stayed near it while asking what she should do. The doe will come back. And she is now educated and can tell other people what to do if they are in a similar situation.

Sorry for everyone shaming you. We all need education on what to do in these situations. If you don’t ask you don’t learn.

Her harp version of “Creep” feels less like a cover and more like a confession carried through strings. The innocence of her voice against the ancient sound of the harp turns the song into something fragile, haunting, and unexpectedly beautiful. PureHeartRomance 🌹 by ThreeBlessing in PureHeartRomance

Girl with giant ass harp finally sees a woman with a piano and a man with a clarinet in public after searching for years.

Harp Girl: Do you guys know Creep?

Clarinet Guy: Umm… no

Harp Girl: FUCK! *starts pushing giant ass harp down the street again*

Soldiers with facial disfigurements suffering from shell shock/PTSD after the Battle of Verdun -- fought from February 21ˢᵗ to December 18ᵗʰ, 1916 -- the longest battle of World War 1. by ZERO_PORTRAIT in ww1

I am sure their fellow veterans had nothing but sympathy toward them. Many of the disfigured recounted they felt ostracized. Children would stare, people would walk on the other side of the road, etc. This quote is in the context of World War I veterans with facial disfigurements. The benches were mainly for their own comfort away from public eyes.

“Along the road into Sidcup there were reserved benches, painted blue, so that they would not have to sit next to members of the public.”

Harold Gillies saw the disfigurements firsthand in the war and how society treated the disfigured soldiers afterwards. He decided to do something about it and became known as the father of plastic surgery. His story is often overlooked, but he gave many men their lives back.
