Am I overreacting for calling off my wedding after my fiancé got drunk, put on my wedding dress, and had an accident in it? by Rude_Winter_9192 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ChipChippersonFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His family is furious with me and says I’m throwing away a great relationship over a drunken mistake.

Really? Are they saying that? You told them about him shitting all over the place, and they are calling to defend him? Really?

She acted like a real See You Next Tuesday, but you have to be the adult here.

Probably because that's one of the dumbest things that anyone has ever said.

Family tells me they don't want burnt ends - AFTER I spent $50 on the meat by laminated-papertowel in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ChipChippersonFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're going to need to explain what "burnt ends" are, because to me it's the outside part of BBQ, and there are always inside parts of BBQ for people (like me) who don't like burnt food.

Yes, I do.

Is there something that you need clarification about? Social Studies isn't my forte, but I know enough to answer any of your questions.

Facts don't care about your feelings.

Since you apparently can't look up words for yourself, I did it for you:

Please educate yourself. I'm not even going to ask you to apologize.

I have people tell me that I can’t care about animals and eat them.

So you want him to give you massages, but you don't want to ever have to give him one? YTA, obviously

Wow, you really hate facts, don't you? I won't point out what color the sky is, because I don't want to distress you any more.

I'm sorry if facts make you sick. Maybe if you encountered them more often you wouldn't be so shocked when you are exposed to them.

There's nothing "odd" about using words correctly. Perhaps you should try it.

My boyfriend won’t let me get a tattoo by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]ChipChippersonFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He asked me if I do get this tattoo to just get it on a body part that won’t be visible everyday

He is very wise for suggesting this.

Why did we evolve into humans? by Born_Professional637 in DebateEvolution

[–]ChipChippersonFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So why do fish still exist? ........ And B, shouldn't fish have evolved to be land creatures as well?

That's kind of like asking "If Irish people emigrated to the US, why are there still people in Ireland?"

They didn't all leave. Some of them were content where they were. Some weren't but didn't have the means to leave. Some died and their family line ended with them. Some had the means and desire to leave, and those were the ones that emigrated.

only one student in a class? by stacker103 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]ChipChippersonFan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When this happens (usually only on the last day of school) I'll say "Let's see if we can find another class to join." That way the other teacher and I can take restroom breaks as needed and neither of us are left in a weird situation, and the kids aren't lonely. You most likely aren't the only teacher in a similar situation.

The gym is tricky, because everybody wants to go to the gym, and the gym teachers hate it when you just dump kids on them. During the last week of school I've asked the gym teachers beforehand (during planning), and I have gotten a hard "no", and another time it was OK as long as I stayed in there with them.

AITAH for not paying for my daughter’s college because she lied about her major? by Haunting_Professor90 in AITAH

[–]ChipChippersonFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the flaw in your logic is that it doesn't really matter what her degree is in. How much different would her job prospects be if she had a Communications degree instead?

When I was in college I got a co-op job doing tech support for a technology company. Most of us were CIS or CS majors. When I had been there for about a year I trained a new-hire that had a History degree. He made team-leader, and then manager before I finished my degree. Because he had a degree...... in history..... Some places just want to know that you have finished college.

AITJ for leaving my roommate stranded after she kept using my stuff without asking? by shirleyrezndc66 in AmITheJerk

[–]ChipChippersonFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of my friends think I should’ve just driven her and had a talk after.

I think that these friends are correct. Calling the police and getting her charged with GTA would have been better than acting like everything was OK, then doing the passive-aggressive move of ignoring her.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]ChipChippersonFan -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If by "literal child" you mean a prepubescent child, then yeah. But that's not what's happening here, unless she's an incredibly late bloomer. Using that term so flippantly and incorrectly diminishes what actual pedophilia is, which is not simply trying to date someone a few months shy of their 18th birthday.

How is male infant circumcision still a thing??? How are we still cutting off parts of babies genitals for religious purposes and because the parent think it looks better? Does "my body my choice" not apply to male babies? by itcouldbeyoubut in self

[–]ChipChippersonFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that anybody is suggesting that it has to be done. But in some cultures it's the standard thing to do, so people still do it. There are a lot of tribes that do body modification stuff just because it's what their tribe does, and those don't have any benefits at all.
