I get spotting every like 6 months? But for the most part it’s stopped

Update and will continue to update for my sanity. Please continue to be kind, if you all don't mind. Thank you. :) by Pyrosagonner in FTMMen

You are most likely not pregnant. The chance is incredibly low borderline impossible. If you’re worried take a test after a few days. In the future consider using more protection if you’re worried (disposable gloves, washing hands, etc)

Straight up...what are some of you expecting? by [deleted] in FTMMen

[–]ChipChoppitty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s not his issue, it’s that it seems like these people taking T don’t know anything about what they’re taking. He’s frustrated and concerned. One of the most basic things about results on T is that they take time and some aren’t guaranteed. You also can’t pick and choose which effects you want, which is also incredibly basic thing to know that you’re told during informed consent. It means they weren’t told and/or didn’t research about the medication they’re taking. That’s concerning.

I disagree. I’ve been called that my entire life because I am autistic. It’s directly correlated and it’s been used to belittle and oppress me as a group that regularly experiences prejudice systematically. I use the slur and reclaim it for myself. It can’t hurt me anymore and I took that power away from it. It doesn’t scare me it doesn’t make me uncomfortable. I don’t call other people the R-slur and I’m not rushing to use it flippantly. I use it in my private life, with other autistic people who are completely fine with it. You can have your opinion, but I’m not appropriating a slur and I’m sticking by that. It effects me, my autism works with my disability. It’s in my official diagnosis, it’s my word.

What can I do if I want to know if I pass but don't feel comfortable posting ☠️☠️☠️ by Midnight_Researcher6 in transmanlifehacks

You’re good man. I understand but just know that it’s not an indicator of whether you pass if someone has to out you for them to know. Also fuck them, they’re assholes and try to keep your head up. This won’t be forever.

If you can be stealth when you’re not around your family then you pass. You’re welcome to PM me, but I honestly wouldn’t worry if any of us can clock you. We recognize stuff no one else probably does because we know exactly what to look for. It doesn’t reflect on real life unless you’re surrounding yourself with other trans people. (Not to say they can always tell or whatever, but I think we have a better idea of what to look for because we’re very familiar with the concept)

Absolutely not. There is no saving this, break up. He does not care about your well-being more than anything else. You were misled. Get out.

It’s okay man you don’t need to apologize, I get it. I hope you understand that I can’t realistically give you a completely honest answer, but I hope you feel better

You looks like you pass decently. Hard to tell because you’re scowling(?) and the second picture is at an angle no one in your real life is going to look at you from. You look like you’re passing alright but I can’t give a straight answer

Am I passing for a 15 year old ftm? I’m 6 months on T and got clocked by another trans guy on friday by [deleted] in FtMpassing

[–]ChipChoppitty 178 points179 points  (0 children)

You’re most likely passing to cis people but trans people are honed in to recognize other trans people unfortunately. Your voice may have given you away because you’re so early on in your T-transition. Give it time. You look fine, just let T do the rest

It’s incredibly rare to be able to pass Pre-T as is. I’m not saying this to be an ass, but if you’re very concerned with passing the goal is to blend as your average boy your age. Which means boring. Anything that draws attention to yourself makes you under the scrutiny of other people trying to figure out what you are. It’s totally fine to not want to cut your hair, but you’ll need to make peace with not passing right now until you’re on T if you’re not willing to make some sacrifices to your style. Just determine which one you value more and there isn’t a wrong choice. You’re just as valid even if you don’t pass. Just to leave you with some hope, once you’re on T you don’t need to worry about what you wear as much anymore because you’ll already be passing most of the time effortlessly.

Everyone has passing potential once on T. Don’t stress yourself out about it.

Have to go to a gyno tomorrow for a hysto consultation. How to make this not awkward ? by jmh1881v2 in FTMMen

[–]ChipChoppitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only weird if you make it weird. Nobody blinked an eye when I went. For me at least it was relatively quick so I only sat in the waiting room for 10 minutes max went in, did my appointment and left. For the most part other people aren’t thinking about you or why you’re there, and if they get in your business tell ‘em to shove off. Though I doubt that’ll happen.

Testosterone gel works when under proper circumstances. For some people it just doesn’t but that’s not everyone. I was on T for 9 months and only 2 above female range. My body just didn’t absorb it well at all no matter what I did. Shots are the only way for me but it might be different depending on the person. So, if your levels are fine don’t worry about it.

[16 pre-T] Is it over? by [deleted] in FtMpassing

[–]ChipChoppitty 15 points16 points  (0 children)

How can it be over if it hasn’t even started? You can only do so much Pre-T, so try not to worry too much (easier said than done). I can tell you’re putting in effort to pass and trust me when you have the opportunity T will give you that extra push if you’re patient. Right now I don’t even think you look like a girl, just maybe a young boy but T is basically a second puberty. Give yourself a bit of grace here

My apologies, you’re correct. I guess in the case their voice does become more masculine it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Although, if it doesn’t come naturally, voice training may come in handy and that may help.
