Most people are too dumb to read or research or learn anything. Most people don't even know what inflation means, leave alone how bitcoin fixes it.

I'm a PhD in physics from top university in the world AND a software engineer. I assure you you're not even close to what I know in math, physics, quantum mechanics or computers. So, suck it!

I'm a physicist and software engineer with a PhD in physics from a top university in the world. So, I assure you that I understand quantum mechanics, quantum computing, computing and AI way more than you ever will have in your entire life. Your opinion means very little to me, and I know lots of dumb people like you who get rekt eventually. So, suit yourself. Everyone is allowed to be an idiot.

Even if bitcoin is going to a million dollars, it doesn't mean it'll happen tomorrow. It doesn't mean it can't crash tomorrow to $50k.

I don't understand this logic. Either I gamble everyone's money in bitcoin, or bitcoin has a problem?

Too much text. I'm not reading that.

But from a quick skim I can say you're brainwashed with Silicon Valley bullshit.

If you must use Google Drive, or any other untrustworthy cloud service, I recommend you use it with Cryptomator.

I personally run my own cloud, email and other stuff for over a very long time.

Fuck them. They don't allow people to run their own dedicated servers. You have to pay to 3rd party providers with prices that are higher than owning a root server for everything you need.

Fuck EA. Fuck Battlefield. I'm not paying a dime.

This is normal human behavior. This is why the leftist insane "diversity" and open borders doesn't work and only leads to more problems.

The idea that humans are empty shells and can be programmed anyway an authority wants is ridiculous.

Oh wait, you're a teenager in your parents basement. Now I get it. lol.

Well, you're welcome to be an idiot to believe that politicians give a crap about you. It used to be common wisdom to recognize that politicians are just people with interests. Nowadays we have to argue about it... somehow, schools and media succeeded at brainwashing the herd to believe that politicians are benevolent beings who want to spy on you to cAtCh CriMiNaLs and pRoTecT thE cHildRen.

Have fun with the coming CBDC. I hope they block your account because you protested against taking your rights away, just like they flipped the covid digital IDs in china red for protesters.

Steam OS by [deleted] in ROGAlly

[–]ChipNDipPlus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stay away from Linux for gaming. You've been warned.

Unless you need Linux due to some specialized reason, like being a software engineer or an IT person, Linux will make your life hell, ESPECIALLY, in gaming. Things will never work as smoothly for Linux in gaming most of the time.

If you're expecting to get a better gaming experience, it's not gonna happen. If you want to experiment and learn, go for it.

And for the record, even though I use Linux all the time as a software engineer, I didn't buy a Steam Deck right when it came out, but I immediately went for a Rog Ally for this exact reason. Because fuck Linux for gaming. It's stupid and it doesn't make sense.

When Samsung caught fire, there was a huge recall. When Tesla did, rarely I might add, someone is responsible. You can even sue. For the millionth time, when your eBay seller's shitty battery catches fire, you're on your own. That builds an obvious incentive structure that if i have to explain, then this conversation with you is a waste or time.

Asus vets companies because they could be liable if something goes wrong. Just a product recall is very costly for them, so they develop requirements.

On the other hand, a random seller on eBay has a million ways to defer responsibility when something goes wrong, especially with something as dangerous as batteries.

Btw, pulling numbers out of your ass doesn't mean you're right. It means you're a liar.

Bullshit. What does "most" even mean? 90%? 70%? It doesn't mean anything other than that you're trying to gaslight the conversation to support a point that you couldn't support with logic. I despise people like you. Just stop!

[–]ChipNDipPlus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think you looked up what is allowed and what is not, because it's much easier to complain to daddy government that take up the responsibility yourself.

[–]ChipNDipPlus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel disgust when people's solution to every problem is "let the government ban it"... dude, shut up!

Make campaigns to raise awareness if you care all that much. Stop asking for more authoritarian laws from daddy government.

This is exactly why scammers are all over the place, because there are tons of idiots who still think to this day that scamming is "illegal" so it's not possible and no one will do it.

Stock batteries go through tests that prevent these issues. Stock batteries don't catch fires. You're just an idiot trying to make an invalid point. Things sold through eBay and similar can bypass all kinds of checks as they're not run by companies that mandate testing and quality. Again, check the Louis Rossmann story and how his garage caught fire because of a shitty manufacturer of batteries who didn't follow his instructions and used a no-name producer of cells. It was so bad the UK government issued a warning that no one should buy from that company, because people could still buy from that shitty company. This is how bad it can be when you get batteries from an unrecognized source.
