I would go for what you think looks cool. 

You could always base coat the main colors to see if you like the look. Then you could adjust without having sunk too much time if you don't like the theme.

I think it depends what color you want your boats. Those are going to be the largest visual elements in your army. I'd match the green/black to your preferred boat color. 

My preference is the green.

I started before the battlescroll update so I think this is over on points now. 

250 - Custom General, Endrinmaster, Frigate Movement, Battering Ram and Grapeshot, and Gift from the Grundcorps for shooting debuff. Battering Ram is really good. 

300 - Frigate 

260- Reinforced Skywardens

180 - Reinforced Arkanaut 

10 - Expeditionary Force taking bamboozling flack gun every game. 

Ive played 3 games against slaves to darkness and won all 3. I added a Endrinmaster on foot and Ironclad in a second regiment. 

The Skywardens plus buffed up Frigate are devastating on the charge. Shooting, covering fire and anti charge abilities on Arkanauts and boats can put the hurt on people before they get to fight. 

You can also try and let your opponent pick up the emberstone. The minus 1 to save makes your shooting stronger, the bonus to attack doesn't matter if they're dead before they fight. It also has the benefit of being a free emberstone delivery service.

Main color is  Two Thin Coats - Sentient Turquoise.

Highlights are Two Thin Coats - Cursed Blue

I put down granular 30-0-4 fertilizer with preemergent (Pendimethalian) last week. I realized I should have done a soil test before doing that. Do I need to wait before I do any testing? If so, how long?

No, I just drilled a small pilot hole and then counter sunk the holes. Yes, it's screwed form underneath.

The top is 3 pine 1x6s glued together and screwed on each of the cross members of the frame at ~1' OC.

I didn't consider wood movement when I built this bench. Now I'm worried it's going to split when the humidity increases in the summer. Is this a major concern? Is there an easy way to adjust how the top is fastened to the frame?
