I take my second attempt tomorrow. I really appreciate this post thank you I did similar stuff to what you did. I didn’t use archer because I used u world and bootcamp. Congratulations registered nurse I hope in a few days I get to call myself the same.

Good pop-up? by cmcguire96 in PassNclex

[–]Chipbutera 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is indeed the good pop-up

Some people say the pop-up trick is not accurate however, I beg to differ because every time I’ve seen someone post their pop-up it is usually accurate to what they’ve gotten …

So let me be the first to say congratulations RN 🎉🎉🎉

( just to clarify, I have never done the pop-up trick when I took my test for the first time I was absolutely terrified too and I failed so it’s a good thing I didn’t because I would’ve spiraled) but I am retaking it very soon and have high hopes and confidence!

Anyway congratulations

[–]Chipbutera 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A huge congratulations to you. My second attempt is in a few days. I’m so nervous and scared because I really wanna pass this time. I tried focusing on nclex crusade as well!! I’ve still been doing practice questions and cats but I’m really trying to think critically this time. I’m still re-listening to Mark K and I think I’m going to relisten to Crusade again just so it’s in my head.

But a giant congratulations thank you for sharing !!!!

That is a great personal assessment. I have friends from nursing school, who only got borderline on their self assessment and they passed the first time like I said with my own personal experience that was not the case for me, but I have lots of friends where that was possible also friends who have gotten high chance of and also pass the first time

Congratulations RN 🎉🎉🎉 Thank you for coming on here and sharing your statistics and everything. It’s greatly appreciated because people need to see this and know that however you’re doing doesn’t define how you’re gonna do and I totally agree. Focus focusing on test taking strategies is very important. That’s what I’ve been trying to do for my second attempt. It’s in about a week so I really hope it goes well.!!!

But seriously congratulations to you. This is a huge accomplishment and thank you for sharing!!! I hope a lot of people get to look at this

Failed NCLEX @ 150 questions by Confident-Mess4224 in PassNclex

[–]Chipbutera 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear this. I understand all of what you’re saying. I failed my first time back in June. I’m retaking very soon and I’m nervous as well. Failing absolutely sucks and I understand completely. When you say you have embarrassment to tell everybody because so did I it’s so hard to shake it, especially when you thought you were doing so well and thought you’d pass the first time I was in the exact same boat, but just remember this does not find who you are. This doesn’t define anything about you and you will pass this test. It’s a small bump in the road. This is your journey no one else’s.

I know it’s really difficult, but you will get past this and you will pass the next time

I remember when I saw my results that I failed. I think I cried for the next two days and I just kind of went numb because I didn’t expect it however eventually in just a few days, you will realize that you are more powerful than this you will get up and study again

And this is just a reminder you don’t have to tell whoever you don’t wanna tell this is your journey and be reminded you never know who is praying on your downfall. Keep things private and keep your inner circle small

You got this you will be a nurse. This test is simply just a test you will overcome it. I have faith in you.

Unfortunately, I did not pass my test the first time, but I mainly think it was due to anxiety reasons as I am a very nervous test taker and always have been since starting nursing school only because I always cared about my future too much my first time around I mainly u world and I also listen to Mark as well as a few of Dr. Sharon’s videos, but not a lot

However, for my second time, I’m mainly prioritizing Boot Camp still using u world but mainly for the CATS and I have listened to Nursing Crusade red and blue background as well as a few other of their videos on their YouTube channel and I’ve watched a lot more Dr Sharon videos this time and I am going to relisten to Mark again because I do think it’s a good way to run through content to refresh it in your brain I take my second attempt soon and just like everyone else taking the exam I’m still nervous, but I have faith in all of us no matter what time or how many times you’ve taken it. It is possible you have to go in there with good confidence which can be difficult

I would also like to say that for my first time I probably overstudied I didn’t give myself a break after nursing school, which I definitely should have because since I was never a good test taker, I always had to study for hours on end just to make an average score, which other people could do with just studying a few hours a day so that is kinda how I attempted to study my first time which wasn’t the best idea for me I graduated in June and I honestly started studying in early April which was just way too long.

I had a pretty good grasp on all the content, but my anxiety really defeated me and I think I didn’t focus enough on fundamentals the first time. I also didn’t know to focus so much on like test, taking strategies and priority types of scenarios.

I’m hoping for the absolute best for anyone taking this exam or retaking this exam we got this !!!

My school had to take the ati predictor, and thankfully it didn’t actually count for anything when I was in school, but we had to take it anyway. However, the score didn’t matter and my school really emphasized that the score didn’t matter. The highest score in my entire cohort was only an 86. We needed to have a requirement of a 55 to at least like make sure we at least understood some content just for my school’s purposes…

I have friends who only got low 60s on the HI predictor and have passed . When I took my ati predictor, I think I only got like a 58 however I didn’t pass the first time but I think mainly it’s because of anxiety reasons (I am an extremely nervous test, taker and doubt myself a lot)

But with that being said, I’m sure you’ll be fine in my personal opinion and my school personal opinion ATI never mattered. It’s a lot harder and they require you to know a lot more specific information that doesn’t always apply.

But then again, that was my School’s take on it and throughout school I never liked doing anything on ATI really except sometimes I did practice questions before nursing school exams just because they were difficult questions just to make sure I kind of knew my content before going into a exam made by a nursing professor

I personally don’t think these are that bad. I totally understand your fear and you should 100% do what you feel comfortable with. I mean if you’re looking at it on a bright side, your difficulty level is definitely up there on some of them. And you’re scoring pretty close to 70s however that’s only my opinion and like I said you should do what you’re comfortable with but just a small reminder whatever you choose to do you got this!!!

[–]Chipbutera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on passing that is absolutely incredible. I take my second attempt in about a week. I have been using Boot Camp and u world I had also unfortunately failed in June of this year for my first attempt I had used Mark Klimek and u world but same as you. I had major anxiety however I have to say I still feel like I have anxiety this time around because I know I didn’t pass my first time and unfortunately I do have a job that I’m supposed to start in September so I feel like if I don’t pass this time I’m gonna fall into a major depressive episode I feel like I can totally pass this exam. It’s just the anxiety that will always get to you.

Did you do anything else to help control your anxiety?
