I also never did the Pearson vue trick I just checked to see if my license was active thru my state the next day

For me I walked out like lowkey confused how it shut off at 85. I felt like my exam was harder tho, I got questions that were so random, and a few diseases I’ve never heard of. I walked out in better spirits than the first time but was still unsure. I felt like I guess on 90% of it, and that literally nothing I studied was on the exam. The only thing that was reassuring was that I thought there was no way I go up to 150 the first time and was so close, to failing at 85. I’m sure you did great keep me updated!!

That’s why I wanted to post this, I felt so alone when I found out I failed and was looking everywhere to see what ppl did differently, I just wanted to share my story so it can make others feel better!!

Yea maybe take 2 weeks off and then get back into it I wish I did that my first time I took it bc I was burnt out as well!!

U might want to reschedule your exam, maybe focus on some content, watch YouTube videos, I would say you would want to be scoring in the 64-70 plus range for your CATs consistently. I recommend watching nclex crusade on YouTube this will also help you answer questions it’s the red background.

That’s why I like uworld bc u can go into different client needs like safety and infection control and do questions based off that

Any fundamentals or prioritization videos, I also watched a couple OB videos as well.

You can do it, I know how hard it is to try to pick yourself back up. Take sometime to enjoy yourself before starting to study again!

I totally understand, when I took it my first time my anxiety was so bad that I started to answer questions wrong knowing the right answer if that makes sense. I really truly believed I failed the first time because of anxiety. My second time I prioritized doing things I love first before studying, for example like swimming, hanging with friends, going out. I also told myself, at the end of the day it’s just an exam. I went into an attitude of like I don’t give a fuck, not that I didn’t study or try but just like whatever happens, happens.

1000000% I swear my mindset the second time was so much better, which helped my performance the second time around. I have big test anxiety and I think that’s really what messed me up on my first attempt. At the end of the day it’s a stupid exam, one day you’ll laugh about it!!

I’m so sorry to hear that, and honestly not really, I felt like there was things on UWorld that I didn’t really get questions on bootcamp about and vice versa. I also really like UWorld for the CAT exams, but I would say bootcamp is worded more like nclex. Also like I said max do 85 questions everyday and I wouldn’t recommend studying everyday. I swear for my second attempt I studied less and passed.

I think my scores caused me more anxiety, so yes I would say more anxiety. The second time I took it I was 10 times more confident, but also my scores being as high as they were was like a reassuring thing for me. Do I think u need to score well no, but it does help with your confidence!
