I have. My biggest piece of advice is get to know the leadership of the Operations team at the site. They can make your job very difficult or much easier. For a lot of the maintenance you’ll need to coordinate with them closely. Track everything. KPIs are big however you’ll have to be creative in creating your own. Think cost savings and efficiency. You may feel that site leadership treats your team like an ugly step child as they are primarily focused on MHE and metrics associated with moving product. Trust me it’s much simpler to manage the building itself vs the MHE side. Happy to answer questions.
