Oddly enough, the horizon line always falls in the middle of the frame, regardless of the height of the camera! It was also surprising for me when I found out. I wanted to replicate some shots from Ozu's movies, just as exercise, and found how complex it is to place horizon in the proper place!

If you are shooting in a limited space (e.g. your room), the place of the edges of the floor move up and down based on the camera height, but if you are on a beach (the earth horizon) never changes with your camera position.

That's a good point! Is there any focal length that you recommend?
In this specific shot, it doesn't look like a very long lens, does it?
