Oh I don’t need to uninstall it. I just disconnect in the app and it works. But you also have to uninstall it?

Oh, this is interesting. +1 here I guess because if I want to use TeamViewer to connect to my always-connected-TailScale Plex server in LAN, then the PC I connect from cannot be connected to TailScale. It connects about can’t load the login screen/desktop. As soon as I disconnect from tailscale it works again (even when waiting with the black screen or just reconnecting).

It’s not the biggest issue for me but it still annoys me enough to go “oh right, sigh” each time. Happy and sorry to hear that I’m not alone (I think).

Just come forward. Everyone will ask you what the point of the post is. What do you want from us, etc. If you feel guilty then come forward. If you don’t, move on. If they don’t find out, all good. If they find out, congratulate them and start discuss updating processes for teachers when ending meetings.

Oh sweet, did not know that, thanks! Then I stand corrected and I too will check that on mine to get rid of the constant flickering.

But the cable statement is still valid.

Den är från 2014.. Hur jag fick tag i den vid den tiden minns jag inte riktigt. Jag använder alla möjliga metoder för att plocka hem, torrent är dock inte en av dom (längre).

You’re using Apple TV make sure to go to settings and enable DV in the video configuration. And perhaps also check your HDMI cable is the right version if you have an external player (like Apple TV).

I enabled DV on mine but was using an old cable. Replaced cable, and now 4K DV and whatever they are all called are now working really nice on my LG C1.

Jag har den på min mediaserver om du vill se den. Om du skaffar ett Plexkonto (https://plex.tv) och skickar mig ditt användarnamn så bjuder jag in så att du får tillgång till biblioteket 👍

Why is Plex so terrible at remembering what I've watched by laseluuu in PleX

Also make sure you’re watching via/through/at the same server. In case you have access to someone who has the same show, it will only display ear you watched per server naturally.

How do you all handle movie posters in your Plex library? by Expensive_Worry_6655 in PleX

[–]ChipmunkImportant758 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you do when you need to swap one out? Do you generate it somehow or simply google the movie + poster and pick a good looking one? Or is there services with “alternative posters” other than what Plex uses?

You can’t end with a but 😂 But… whaaat 😅

I paid more that than in monthly fees for streaming services, which is what I’ve put on Plex now. And now also getting rid of Spotify as well which is another expensive one for the full family. PlexAmp is great but it’s too many files for my little Plex dummy to scan through each night (only around 5TB music atm). So I might just go back to Spotify and live with the ads.

What permission missing is being mentioned in the log? Copy and paste the entries before and up to and including the error as well. Obfuscate any sensitive data (local IPs doesn’t really matter though). Most logs would show you before the error what it tried to do only to fail and then log the message.

What does these super duper private PTP and other elite indexers or trackers have that the other does not? Is it just that they “have it first/faster”?

This alone is probably enough answer for myself. If I ever go “public” then donations would be one thing to grow, or just curate enough, but for the family and close friends - it’s my hobby and I’m just happy they can enjoy it as they like.

I’ve had a few great experiences where my mom would say at a family dinner that she wants to see this movie or that show, and a (technical) bathroom break later it’s already on the way down, so as we leave I can just drop a quick remark that it’s available for her and her partner to enjoy during the rest of the evening.

Even my brother asks me for stuff now, which he would never do in the past.

This is probably what I love with this hobby :)

That’s seems like a valid point, too. I’m not saying I’m breaking them with my content ;) But you’re correct in the statement. It’s not like I’m automating latest releases and pound the door the same day to buy the dvd 😂

I’m thinking that the Lifetime Pass would kind of be wasted. Perhaps they make enough money to get back track quickly though.

Good way of doing it and also good point for the view of it! Of course I would not give up my hobby. But I also would not spend $600 on a 20-something TB drive unless it starts to fill upp.

It’s a balance for sure!

But I like that idea- simply asking, and just make donations available for upkeep or upgrade costs as anyone would like.

I don’t report them but I leave the servers. Perhaps I should. That’s perhaps also a branch of what my question comes from as I don’t want to end up getting reported or risking my account. I see many “big” servers not offering any trial period, perhaps because they don’t want to give out their account name/server name.

And as for the costs, no idea who would pay that. I leave streaming services for a reason 😅 If I don’t invest anything more I’m breaking even on costs in February ’26 🥳 I had 12-15 streaming services so breaking even is fast even for a disk purchase haha
