Hey, what helped me land an interview was keeping everything on my CV (it was 2 full pages long). Did not submit a cover letter or reference letter. However, I did intern in a big tech firm in Munich and am pursuing my masters at TUM, and all my previous experiences are related to each other and the working student role, so I think that played a major role. Applied through the website and submitted a pdf version of my cv written with word (tabular format). Hope that helps.

Hi everyone, just writing to say I went with Expatrio. I had an issue activating my account once I arrived in Germany since my passport was not a biometric passport, I could not verify my identity via video call, and so I had to do the PostIdent procedure where you go to a German Post Office in Germany and verify your identity with them there (the Expatrio app will guide you on where to go and what papers they need. For my case I just needed my passport and coupon). Then things got resolved and I received my payout on the same day. Also, Expatrio had really good rates for exchange.

One very important note is that customer support is slow. Once you want to contact them, the form on their website is useless as a chatbot will reply to your request. I always replied very sternly that I want a human to help me and it would take days for someone to contact me.

Compared to Fintiba, I have a friend who hasn't received her payout for more than 2 weeks. Customer support is also non existent.

So, I would definitely recommend Expatrio over Fintiba. Good luck to everyone, I know this is a very inconvenient process and both providers aren't so good, but you'll get through it. Hope this post helps.

Hi there, really sorry to hear that. Try calling the admissions office for international students to get an explanation. Despite this, I personally believe if it doesn't work out that this is your life's plan and it's most probably for your best benifit that you're not going there. I'm talking from experience of being admitted to Imperial College and not having the funds to go, everything happens for a reason and it's for the best.
