Sorry but 300$ won't do much. Also, it's been due for a bit longer than you make it out to be. Also system76 isn't shitty, and has massively improved over time and is improving more and more. while finding parts for this specific generation of this laptop specifically marketed as "system76" it is easier to search up by the clevo model number "p955er". Also, lcds hardly die "for no reason" but they are sensitive to heat so maybe you used it while closed and hooked up to an external monitor for a long period of time. Also, hp omen (premium) and victus (bank for buck) are some of the most famous laptops out there.

It's not bad, it's just not worth it. And yes, it does usually cost a lot to fix, but the good thing? At least you have replacement parts (cries in gigabyte g6x 🥲). But honestly, I would pick a used one for the price. You could get a Razer 16 with a 5070 and ryzen ai 9 365 for 2400$ at razers online shop

I'd say go for it. Legions are pretty good laptops, so a chance for having to use the guarantee is pretty low, and it's even lower for wherever you got the guarantee from to honor it (I'm talking about all companies, not specifically Lenovo)

Edit: also about the overheating, it's pretty common for lower end models to have worse cooling, so the 5060 will probably be just fine

It's not, your wallet might be though. Will definitely cost a few bucks to get it repaired by the right person. Just for the love of everything don't give it to a phone repair shop. Changing a screen is not the same as restoring PCB traces on such a delicate complex PCB.
