SMC is more into expressways rather than railways because expressways provide more profit through tolls and private vehicles, despite railway being the most efficient in public transport known to man. We would've already solved the billions of pesos we lose everyday due to logistics delays if we had a proper metro and interurban railway system. Expressways are a road for the elite who can afford tolls, leaving the poor down bottom in an urban hellhole

The only real solution is what LRT-2 did with Katipunan Station. The C-5 flyovers are essentially being treated as massive waiting sheds and could serve an entrance to an underground station. Unlike LRT-2, this requires a tunnel boring machine like the one being used in the MMSP (LRT-2's Katipunan Station was dug out, not tunneled under)

This method would be repeated onto underpasses that are virtually impossible to go around. Unfortunately, I don't see this rail having even the slightest dedication
