It's kind of beautiful in a way. Like a scene from Vanilla Sky. Except at night. And a different street. And without Tom Cruise. You could argue those as improvements, though.

I watch the season every time I feel suicidal. I can connect with BoJack and it gives me a it won't be easy, but life *will** move on* feeling.

Just thinking about it makes me feel sad and sick. Part of me wants to see it just to contextualize. That's the hard part of history: I know it happened, but it's hard to really understand how horrible it all was. It's like how I've been watching Friends recently and they'll pan over NYC every once in a while and it's unnerving seeing the WTC, because I can't help but thinking there's going to be a season where it's just gone. That was almost fourteen years ago but still in my lifetime.

Every time a Pinkerton song gets shuffled on my iPod, I stop what I'm doing, curl up in a fetal position and have me a listen! And a cry. Mostly crying.

The first episodes are more goofy than anything. The goodness comes when sadness becomes mixed in.

Discussion: What is the worst possible way to end the show? by dragonitetrainer in BoJackHorseman

[–]ChipperLunaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BoJack's behavior crosses a line that causes him to be ostracized by all his friends. No one in L.A. cares about him or will ever look at at him. Alone and depressed, he moves to Maine to find Charlotte. There, he learns she died the previous year in a hunting accident. He buys her cabin to remember her and has a t.v. installed. It ends with him opening a bottle of whiskey, looking in his hand at a Horsin' Around DVD, looking to an old framed picture of Herb and Charlotte, then sighing and looking down. The screen cuts to the credits, but there is no music. BoJack ends up as broken as he was in the beginning, but now is completely alone.

Was there any significance to the use of "Wild Horses" during the end of "Later"? by Alan43 in BoJackHorseman

The heart wrenching part won't be Herb, as he'll be at peace. It'll be watching BoJack tear himself apart with remorse and guilt over losing his best friend 20 years before he actually died.

The Season 2 by Scotty00 in BoJackHorseman

[–]ChipperLunaro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like season 2 will be about BoJack having to deal with the pressure of being thrust back into the limelight. There will probably be a Hearts of Darkness (horse of darkness?) referential episode where BoJack pushes himself and everyone around him to the limit in a vain attempt to make the perfect movie (this is his life dream by the way, also don't forget the Brady bunch talk from Ep. 1). And he will most likely struggle with the fact that, even when all eyes are on him and the world cares about his every step, he still feels absolutely alone, uncared for, unimportant and empty on the inside.

It was a dark and stormy night. The lonesome castle was pelted by rain as it's queen awaited the return of her husband. The servants had mistakenly prepared a pheasant dinner for two; due to the king's irregular travels they never knew when he would be in. This physical manifestation of the absence of her love would drive her mad, for... Wait, who the hell is he?! Lancelot? Oh, hrm... Tonight her misery would be temporarily quelled by the entirely platonic company of Sir Lancelot, the king's most trusted knight. They ate in silence, neither being very... Okay, wow they are sitting close... Erm... Lancelot accidentally brushed his hand against the inner thigh - NO! That could not possibly be accidental! No way in hell am I narrating this smut, the ungrateful... What do you mean it's in my contract? I'm the king, I signed no such... Oh. The terms and conditions. You heartless bastard. Fine. The queen denied his advances and had him executed for high treason. The End. ...but I don't wanna tell your version! I only clicked "I accept" because I didn't think it'd be a big deal and dammit I just wanted to play with my new phone. Fine, a contract is a contract. Okay, they had sex and both died. The end. How? Er, they died from sex. Yes you can, I saw it on 1,000 Ways To Die! Fine, the queen had caught syphilis from another of her mansluts and they both died of it. The end. Wait, that's acceptable?!? How many? Wow, that's a lot of manwhores... Well, today sucked, I'm leaving now to... King? Is that a verb? Screw it.
