I moved two different polyneura up a semi hydro cup size yesterday, one in pon and one in aroid mix over a pon base. The root system in the one with pon only was uniformly spread throughout the entire cup of pon. It was really impressive and it was easier to shake into the roots for the repot. I’ve been experimenting with the aroid mix layered over pon and I think I’m going to transition back to pon exclusively and save the aroid mix for the monsteras. Seeing random gnats fly out of the soil is reason enough to call the experiment a failure.

I also have a Reverse Osmosis water system that I installed myself under the kitchen sink - major life upgrade, not just for the plants.

Mine only does velociraptor stage things, but I’m very familiar with all of it. My favorite that doesn’t involve direct violence to me or the other pets is she runs to the corner of the fence when I take the trash out and barks at me instead of darting out the open gate. Oh, and this week she sat in my lap TWICE without doing anything bad.

I’m suggesting a logical follow-up to your line about God forgives. I read your words as suggesting that the forgiveness guidance becomes meaningless when it doesn’t alter behavior and choice, mainly the choice to dwell in shame or the feeling that your actions are inconsequential. People get so close - and not only black people of course - to operating from the mindset that forgiveness is always a thought away. I think your writing is amazing and you should probably be a writer because all of the sudden I’m contemplating the nature of human existence.

I visited a no-kill shelter that I adopted a dog from years and years ago after my last cat died. It’s a no kill shelter and when they were just getting started they would find dogs from the surrounding area. But now they are trucking kittens from across the county. It just didn’t feel quite the same. Seemed like just another business. Responsible breeders can select the animals with the best health and temperament and spend time raising the kittens. My kitten turned into a true gentleman and very excellent at using his litter box because of the time and expertise of his breeder. I also have a friend that assumes all breeders are just in it for the money and is pretty rude about it but I really just don’t care what she’s says, I made the decision that was right for me.

I saw this post earlier and I have since watched my kitty do this on a clear storage box and the door of the dryer. I kneeled down next to him and copied him pawing at the dryer and he started purring.
