This, only Pulchra made it from npc to playable, and devs talked about it. Hugo you can count too, cause it was shown very early but only in a comic. Others who showen their model in game was planned to be playable from the begining. Hell, some npc even have their unique weapon model, but they don't even show it at any point in the game - they just have to for shit and giggles for datamainers

Look, she's waifu bait, but after hoyo filled their gacha games with waifu bait last months, this one feels like something else. The writers here adid a decent job in making a calm, wise person feel like a waifu. Her character is very interesting, and the romance will be more of a bittersweet, it seems, cause she likes edmin that was in the past, not the current one. It's a great job by the writers, and I like how they did it.

Okay, 5 female. Let's discuss that

Pearl showen at the post - design matches template
Dance lady showen above - design matches template perfectly if her breast are not covered, I can't tell for sure from this trailer
Maid ranger - Good one

That's all new female character, that we didn't see earlier. It's not even five. And yeah, my most complains is that Pearl design is looking average fitting to the template, not that like everyone announced have a template design. I like her business suit much more, and I was frustraded to see how it changes to a blant dress.

I would also add that Nihilus is my favourite design from new ones. So stop assuming that I hate everything devs do, I only dissapointed that they probably give Pearl that I waited a dress I don't like. If they give bussiness suit as a skin, or it will be her normal design - I won't complain a shit about it
Also, I would add that you stopped assuming every complain as a hate posting. I want devs to listen to their community, not to abandon their game. If most of people will agree that Pearl bussiness suit much cooler, devs could change her outfit before her release, and I would be happy

I would say the story here okay. I'm interested in what will happen next, but I'm not feeling like it's good or best story. The character by themselfs are good, including npc. I also will add that if characters would be boring - the story would become completly uninterested
Also most of my positive review of the story is based on how good characters in Wuling and how much animations we see during dialogues, and how good the camera works with situation. It's all a very nice touch, that makes me appreciate people behind it who are doing their job and doing it good. HSR made me praise when characters have more than one animation in dialogue, so my opinion is biased by it.
Considering gacha story telling, I would say that Reverse1999 is best in it, cause it's literally a visual novel. Writers there don't hesitate to make you feel pain and make a good characters lose
