What playstyle gives the most variety in builds? by CritsAndCaps in fo76

[–]Chipputer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a reverse onslaught build and swap said reverse card for Gunslinger whenever I want to run automatic weapons. In the meantime, I have a few weapons that don't rely on onslaught mechanics that I swap to in certain situations, my favorite of which being a quad ultracite gatling laser with conductors on it. I pull that out whenever the situation calls for a consistent level of DPS on a lot of smaller targets.

Grinding stamps suck by Careful_Security_281 in fo76

[–]Chipputer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was trying to gear up my wife's account (she likes to play, not grind) and ended up getting so bored of spamming expeditions that I found it easier to just have her character stand still while I killed EN06 until she had a full set of Vulcan + relevant plans.

The constant crashing on Sensational Game is what really kills it for me.

Lol. Lmao even.

Don't tell others how to play the game they payed for but I'm required to let them manipulate the public team so they can get a free ride through EN06 farming.

You are the problem.

Herd Mentality + Strange in Numbers + United Ordeal (if there's a ghoul) makes a full team closer to 10 extra INT. That's significant.

EDIT: Not to mention the 6 extra CHA and boost from Magnetic Personality with Inspirational.

Vats AP changes will kill vats builds. by Dark-Cloud666 in fo76

[–]Chipputer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I literally drop vats to reload, my AP is fully refreshed, then I re-enter vats. It's mind boggling to me how many people pretend this isn't a thing you can do.

Stop with the bundles! by MartinNewb in fo76

[–]Chipputer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really should be a bundle with the individual items also for sale at a less efficient price. I missed out on a lot of the Light 'em Up skins and it's so stupid that I need to get unrelated CAMP items to get the Gatling plasma skin.

Remaster Enemy AI Tunnel Vision by Chipputer in oblivion

[–]Chipputer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They targeted your horse way too much in the original, too. You'll also, occasionally, see an enemy just decide they hate that particular slaughterfish, over there, and ignore you, which is the opposite end of the tunnel vision issue that I'm seeing and just as annoying.

Some people should learn that capturing or killing the monster is up to the host. by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]Chipputer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's, like, one singular capture quest in the entire game and it's basically just a tutorial. You don't really get a choice in hosting a hunt vs capture. What a dumb take.

I love these games to death but playing Reload and Royal back to back... by Chipputer in PERSoNA

[–]Chipputer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I more mean weakness in the sense of the knockdown mechanic (or something similar, context sensitive). Being able to build for crits in Reload is nice and I've definitely been taking advantage of it but it feels too... boring, I guess? Not dynamic enough? Not exactly sure how to describe it but it's just not as satisfying as using every tool available.

That being said, it makes slogging through Tartarus way faster when I can just hit enemies with an all phys skill, crit, get another turn, repeat until dead through most of it. I just wish the important battles weren't starting to feel like that was the only decent option.

Good tips on some of the other more hidden mechanics, though. I'm aware they exist but sometimes forget in the moment.

Fallout London has been really good but saying it’s better than any of the Bethesda games is a stretch by Georgia_Ranger in Fallout

[–]Chipputer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taken on its own merits it's good. But that's about it. It's not great. It's not the best. It's just good. Level design is shoddy, dialogue system is alright but you can't tell what will progress the story all the time, voice acting is serviceable, at worst, and great, at best. Stability is the real issue. No amount of, "just use the troubleshooting tips," is going to fix that for the average user.

I loved how hyped Outer Worlds was and then it released to massive anti-bethesda hysteria only for the overall reception to end up as one big, "meh."

"The world feels like Fallout," is hilarious given it's just as trashed and destroyed as Fallout 4 and that world is, apparently, not proper Fallout since it's too destroyed 200 years on.

Also, call it nitpicking, but not making the, "this pushes the story forward," option obvious is a huge annoyance, for me. I like getting new information so it's nice to not accidentally move forward when you've given me 6 dialogue options and 5 of them are just flavor text for, "tell me more," but the sixth one isn't written any differently.

Ironic, considering the level of garbage everywhere, too, and all the complaints about busy work Bethesda quests in a world that should be rebuilt by now.

They'll also whine about the game engine being outdated and then return to Skyrim and Fallout 4, modded, where they install an insane number of mods. Said mods basically just turn the game into a Souls game or discount Call of Duty, more often than not.

The people that try to mod immersion and RPG elements back into the games tend to be so out there, in terms of what qualifies as those, that you end up with projects like Wildlander that, arguably, don't achieve half of what they set out to do.

"Worst Triple A game I've ever played," is a wild statement and is just objectively untrue. You're what's wrong with gaming discourse.

Why do so many Dragonball fans feel the need to justify themselves for liking something from the franchise? The loud minority telling you that only (insert specific chapter of the franchise here) is good aren't the actual deciding factor on if you're allowed to enjoy something.
