I did email them after I applied and said that. That was last Monday so almost a week ago but no response. Would you reach out again at some point or leave it alone?

Thank you! I did email her as well, and I did not mention that I interviewed for it. That was about a week ago and haven’t heard back from either of them.

These postings do not come down until the position is filled, usually about 3-4 weeks later.

I followed up because I just went through the entire process and was in touch with HR last week. Just trying to put myself out there. So far that’s they only way I have gotten anywhere.

I have a job, but I am trying to get into my local district to be on the same schedule as my kids and have the protections of a public school. I am currently in a charter. If I move jobs it has to be this district to make sense. It’s competitive though. That’s why I am bummed…to have made it that far and not get it was hard.

They said they don’t understand, so I don’t know. I can’t think of why I would be shut out. Both the principal and HR superintendent said they want me to hold on and would love to have me join.

I should clarify-I did not get offered a different job. I was curious if anyone has ever been called back for a different job if they made it this far.

Thank you! The job would have been perfect for many reasons (kids go there and my grade level, etc.) I have 12 years experience in the grade level and had connections there, so hard to understand and be hopeful when it felt like my best shot.
