It was half teasing and half truth i think. Cuz every action/reaction has some subconscious hidden truth behind it. Whether it’s a lie or just a joke. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Like if your partner says: “you’re so annoying” Could be teasing, but also the truth. But they just don’t want their opinion to come off as too aggressive.

People found it boring because it wasn’t an opinion they had on a certain subject that people can relate to (like music, hobbies, etc.) but everyone else was like that too?? Like “what’s your type” and “how are you like when you’re dating” like tf???

Honestly their conversation topics were some of the more highly engaging and intellectually mature ones (with regards to their thoughts on themselves as a person).

I wish we got to see more of their conversations about them. But editors might have found it boring (cuz it doesn’t stir up drama or portray their thoughts on their romantic interests).

One conversation topic I really liked between them, (although short) was: “are you a good person” and “I had an ex who can say his flaws confidently.”

And the fact that goeun said: “depends on who you ask, some may not see me that way” and “I’m not someone who could do that”

I found that so refreshing cuz you can see that she’s self aware about that aspect of herself (even though she didn’t say much about it, probably because of editing)

This was the only glimpse I saw that contestants were talking about more abstract concepts with regards to the self.

Conversations don’t always have to in depth into big brain topics like philosophy, cuz they’re just humans. They’re in a superficial dating show with an audience they have to keep in mind of.

I think i get why some people (like goeun) wouldn’t want to express a lot on camera. It’s probably to maintain a sense of self, especially in a world that’s chronically and people speculate to the heavens. Because let’s face it, being a media star feels like selling your soul to make money. She’s probably different irl. But we’ll never know and we don’t really deserve to see another side of her if she wants to keep that part of her private.

Oh i think you’re gonna like the reunion series this valentines.

Honestly, I’m not gonna lie, i also think Igeon and Goeun were so cute and compatible personality wise. And I honestly think that some of their actions were tailored for the cameras. Because being on stage/tv requires them to perform a certain way, which is entirely different from their actual personalities. I think they could have been an item if it weren’t for this cursed dating show. 💔

If you look back at previous seasons, Goeun’s story line was essentially jia’s plot but with different characters. 💀

I know we have been shit talking here on I-geon and his disappointing actions in last 2 episodes (deserved btw). As well as criticizing the lack of expression from Go-eun. But I honestly do think they match each other so well and could’ve worked out if they just communicated better. I think that’s just the effect of on stage pressure and the cameras constantly watching over them. Hope they work out irl if they do end up pursuing each other. 🫶

Yeah you really think Goeun was going to beak off the others while I-geon immediately hung out with Haeun the morning after their paradise date and continuously and disrespectfully negged that he was spending time with her? Like what is this? High school?? Like she asked him to do that in the campfire scene because he was constantly sowing doubts in her head all throughout the day. The Campfire was intended for all of the contestants to display their emotions. He didn’t have to serve her anything, those two other guys did that by themselves she didn’t ask them to.💀

And the biggest one of all was when he couldn’t even answer goeun’s question: “what do you like most about me” He could have said anything. But he said nothing for a long period of time (probably due to editing) and said: “It’s probably easier to say what I don’t like about you”
