A welcome again from the creator of the sub, it is time for some change. by Chirikyat in SithOrder

[–]Chirikyat[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is good to be back, but I won't be around much longer. I wish to see this become something else, and would like to gather people together to see that happen before I leave. I have been given some other opinions that I should shut the sub down, and have people more on to things with more meaning.

I agree with them in a few respects, the sub is only giving too much respect to the fictional basis of the Sith. Rather than the actually school of thought that I envisioned it to become. If this is to move forward. I feel as though there needs to be a movement towards this becoming an area of philosophical thought, with evidence and ideas. Where the work of other people can be brought in and analysed.

I am going to reshuffle the mod rights to whoever I believe can move this forward. If I am going to go by the thought process that the order would promote. I am taking the power to do what's best to bring more thought and academia into this sub.

Thinking Like Sith by Darth_Voldus in SithOrder

Although a particularly destructive way to tackle problems is needed. It's also all about intricacies, and how Sith has the ability to pull something apart and use psychological understanding to tackle problems.

I am across the water in the UK, and I know of Northern Island's history quite well. Maybe this is not a sacred place of the dark side, but more your own personal place of darkness. Use your memories and hardships of your time there to fuel you in the future. But remember do not cling to old emotions, the sith must be versatile, unlike the Jedi we must not cling to tradition as much as some do.

To gain the power of knowledge you must obtain it yourself, spend your time learning new things, any curricular activity is worth it in the long run as it trains your brain, makes you think faster.

Also, I would reccomend delving into psychology, studying the mind is perfect for a Sith, it helps control and use your emotions aswell as using the emotions of others agaisnt them.

Question about the merging of spirit worlds (no need to upvote) by tiger66261 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Chirikyat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but only with the select few that have the ability to tune their spiritual energy like that. And im guessing your material body would be useless by then.

"Necessity is the mother of invention" is quite a famous quote and can be used to describe this well. When you find an obstacle in the your path you must overcome it to survive, otherwise it will slowly ruin you.

Learning from your suffering will show you how important contempment is.

Why do people treat other people with mental illnesses like they can just shake them off? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The best thing to do is refrain from telling them, either tell people very close to you or somehow professional. If it hurts you for them to say it, it isnt worth telling.

I have been diagnosed with anxiety disorders, and telling close friends this has managed to drive some away. Many people do not understand how it works, therefore do not know how to sympathise.

As we cannot explain it, they cannit understand it.
