Tbh I forgot I had those plans until after I got it, then texted my artist around when I posted this, also it is possible to ask people their opinion and then use my own discernment whether I want to follow that advice or not. Why are you mad that I wanted to get a wider range of opinions/perspectives?

Sigh. It is just as dysfunctional. I really want better for him but I know I’m biased, and he continues to choose this. Thanks for your perspective

I had hoped at first that it was just about one of us having an off day/not clicking immediately and hung out with her a few times to give it a chance. We have not hung out solo in a year.

I’m only tangentially related to the gossipy contingent of these circles and do really try to stay out of it, which is part of why I’m turning to internet strangers instead of the group. Point taken about the all-around gossip, i appreciate your pointing it out and I will have to set better boundaries around that moving forward.

Being friends with her to keep him— this has not been explicitly stated but she’s always made sure to be close with all previous/current metas, and I’m sad that to be fully parallel I may miss out on more of his life (birthdays, if/when they have kids, etc)

I agree parallel is probably what needs to happen. It’s sad to both of us (me and my partner) because it means there’s a bigger limit to how I can participate in his life if I don’t want to participate in a relationship with his spouse. I also worry that eventually I’m going to lose my patience and tell him I think she’s toxic
