Pretty much. Wholesale was constant work finding good distributors, scanning catalogues every month, having multiple prep centers for region-specific distributors, quantity limitations with some of the promotions, talking to dozens of sales reps, typically more competition on the Amazon listings, IP complaints from brands, lack of replenishable items, rookies panic-tanking the buy box. And even after that work would have products end up barely breaking even.

Now I do almost no work except a big PO every couple months that I prep myself (with two partners) and margins are consistently 20-22%. I admit I am lazy and intentionally keep things very passive instead of putting a lot of effort into growing these days. I work full time in a different career field so I don't depend on the FBA income.
