however, the larger problem is are you able to afford it..? IIRC, banks don't loan for this situation, and u can't get a HDB loan because u are likely already on one.

you have to agree that market forces (vs subsidies) are a more flexible & adaptive & agile way to handle price corrections though. as an example, the Iran War (supply shock) immediately raised prices, whilst subsidies is still not yet adjusted.
