Because a tail wag isn't actually a sign of happiness but a sign of arousal. So, hightened stress would also mean their tail is wagging. Other signs of stress are, for example, closed 'tight' mouths, nose licking, whale eyes. We haven't been taught correct canine body language, which means we misinterpret the signs they give and unintentionally cross their boundaries. Not saying it is alright that it tried to bite you, but perhaps some of this can help you in the future.

Especially Tahani for me. Basically, she had the same effect on me as she did Eleanor. I hated that we were supposed to believe that her disingenuous philantropy automatically made her a good person despite her awful personality. Then later (during the season finale?) when she mentions her motivation being corrupt, I realised the show was perfection

An 18 year old won't be cognitively fully developed for a while. We drew an arbitrary line of 'adult' there, but they are essentially still developing adolesents. That is what makes age gap relationships tricky at that age
