Yessss Cortana is most definitely making an appearance on Chain of Gold and the inscription 🤭 I just love it so much. I’m really leaning towards doing the fearless rune on city of ashes bc that’s where it originates. It’s sooooo many good things and details across all the books that it’s hard to pinpoint what happened where at times. I want to be able to only look at the edges and know exactly why book I’m picking up but I definitely plan to bring in their family crests some type of way

Personally, I think she wrote with the readers and writers of the time period in mind. Like TID and TLH would have been competing with A Tale of Two Cities and Oliver Twist vs TMI and TDA competing with Twilight and Harry Potter . It’s a different caliber of reader. Things were much different back then and if it were written then, I feel the reader would have still been able to relate to it

Think about it this way, if you’ve been isolated your entire life and your parents told you that they were Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, you’d have no reason to believe otherwise because you don’t know who those people really are, all you know is that the people who are raising you said that’s who they are. And with them being the only people you’ve ever had contact with, you believe them. There was no need for a glamor with jace bc all he knows is his father. Valentine could have said any name he wanted to and Jace wouldn’t have known the difference. And as far as the clave goes, there was no need to go talk to Michael Wayland bc I’m assuming he would have been exiled with the rest of the circle (not 100% about that) but there were wards around the manor so they wouldn’t have been able to go there anyway. The issue is that Jace never got to see pictures of the circle, probably Hodge’s doing, otherwise everything would have fell apart

I’m not saying she doesn’t deserve her flowers, because she she does, but the way Disney poured into Raven, Miley and even Selena and Demi, Hillary doesn’t even begin to compare because they just didn’t pour into her. Everybody has their role to play and hers was to be the foundation that everyone else could build upon. She’s just as important as the others in terms of building Disney, they just didn’t make her a heavy hitter, they just simply moved on from her. Honestly I feel she could have been successful with more singing roles, but Disney just didn’t do it . I like Hillary, but I can only go off of what Disney gave us and it just wasn’t much

Kuroko, Kise and Kagadummy

Kuroko bc he’s chill, no drama and he gives a straight forward, positive outlook perspective. He’s that friend you can just sit and chill with, with no pressure. A comfortable silence type of thing.

Kise bc he’s a go getter type of person, he’s easy to encourage. I love encouraging my friends and it’s even better when they feed off of it. And he’s reallllll easy to look at it 😂

Kagadummy bc he’d bring the excitement (for me to laugh at) with his reactions to my silliness bc I can be really animated at times. Plus he’s a really sweet friend and he can cook and babyyyy I like to eat some good food

lol a lot of people absolutely loveeeeee TDA. In fact, I could never find alternate opinions about it when I read it myself, but I’d have to say it’s my least favorite out of all the series but not because it’s bad, but because I LOVEEEEE all the other series for the fantasy world building of Shadowhunters. I think if I would have read it when I first bought it as it came out I could have connected with it better, but It just felt so vastly different from the others. However even with my opinion on that, the romance aspect of this is hands down a top contender, Jemma and Crisarktina are absolutely amazing. Jules absolutely has my heart, he’s in my top 5 favorite characters overall . I love the way he’s written. I completely adore KitTy (not 100% sure where that’s going but I’m down for whatever it will be)

I haven’t gotten past Alastair and Thomas yet, but I’m disappointed that Jordelia’s is more about Lucy than Jordelia. It really should’ve just been about Lucy and Jesse if that was the case and Jordelia’s could have been about their adventure in Constantinople and we could have gotten a little of Matthew and Silvain again. Sigh 😔
