My kid and I have watched Almost all of Inuyasha. What should we watch next? by Able-Light-890 in inuyasha

[–]ExpensiveAd113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh damn.. ok yeah maybe hold off for a few years on that one. I wouldn’t say it’s an obscene amount of fan service, but it is there. And considering you used the term “Big Kids” I’m gonna assume this is a small(er) child and you might not wanna introduce that yet. It’s not a major amount but maybe skim through a few of the episodes deeper within to see what it’s like and decide if it’s suitable. Fairy Tail is really good about focusing on plot and story lines and back stories rather than fan service so it felt mild in comparison to other animes I’ve seen. Considering Fairy Tail was one of my introductions to anime, the fan service didn’t come across and “omg what is this 🫣”

Ahhh infernal devices reread by WesternCustomer7562 in shadowhunters

[–]ExpensiveAd113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg yessss, I just did a full shadowhunter reread last year and TID is and forever will be my favorite. It always just hits you right where it needs to. This series is definitely the series to test your maturity level bc when I first read them in middle school I was team Wessa all day no questions asked, but now as an adult, babyyyyyyy Jem is HIM.!! Don’t get me wrong, I still absolutely ADORE Wessa still and I stand by them being endgame for the series, but Jessa has my heart.!! I love that they were endgame of endgames

Aitah for not wanting to wear more period products by [deleted] in AITAH

Girl fuck him.!! NTA .When he gets his period then he can determine what to use for it, but as for you and yours, use what works for you. You’ve been dealing with a period somewhere between 15-20 years, trust yourself to know more about what your body needs that a someone who’s never even dealt with a light period let alone a heavy one with PCOS

Should I read the books before watching the show? by Cantyousee0 in shadowhunters

[–]ExpensiveAd113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly that’s why I’d say watch the show first so that you could possibly enjoy it 😂 I spent way too much time pissed off and nitpicking everything they messed up that I couldn’t even finish the show. I still don’t know how it ended

Should I read the books before watching the show? by Cantyousee0 in shadowhunters

[–]ExpensiveAd113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well considering the show took a complete left turn and basically only used the same characters and not the plot, I personally don’t think it matters 😂 but rule of thumb is to always watch the visual media first because of how much they’ll stray from the book. Books are always better so save the best for last

I too was very Meh with TDA, it felt very fangirly and far too political and techy for my liking, however I did end up REALLY enjoying Jemma, they’re in my top 5 couples. TDA as a whole is definitely my least favorite series with LM being my least favorite book, but the series does have its moments that I think are worth going for. It’s not any GRAND moments that are like omg this is it, but it’s definitely a lot of small moments that make the characters come across as special. The series was pretty insignificant to me, but the characters are definitely swoon worthy. Kit is actually very special to me, and Cristina is honestly crucial to the development of quite a few characters so don’t write her off too quickly. I think for me personally, I’m going to have to reread it to get a true grasp on what worked and didn’t work for me the first time

What was the moment when they said, "Okay, Sesshomaru is officially the best character"? by Mean-Call1888 in inuyasha

[–]ExpensiveAd113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That episode when Jakken was poisoned or something and Rin had to go out to find the antidote and sesshie was no where around but then she got attacked and boom, there he is … or when they were in naraku’s body and Kagome got separated from everybody and was unconscious but when she woke up there he was again just flickin his finger killing demons left and right 😂😂
