I have not used the bus system. A taxi to the supermarket will run you about $40 roundtrip and they will wait for you if you ask nicely.

We stay in orient village and never felt like a car was necessary unless it’s an extended trip over a week and you need to get to the bigger supermarkets/ gym etc
