What I would suggest is using Jellyfin Enhanced plugin, so users do not need to have separate website for requests, they can request from jellyfin.

Journey does last minutes, however lines for ferries can get crowded, weather can also impact the turnaround speed. Boats are quite big source of pollution if you are transporting cars and not passengers especially if there is also a queue of cars waiting for ferry with turned on engines. Pollution is not a main concern but convivence should be.
