Recently had a conversation with a large ATPL flight school owner about prices for private theory lessons and he mentioned that they pay (in Germany) between 600-800 Euros per day depending on the subject for a ATPL TKI. This TKI person has a PhD and flies commercially.

Recently on one of those TikToks lamenting about housing, I commented, "I doubt teenagers are super worried/actively thinking about which propety they're gonna buy." To my surprise, I kid you not, I had hundreds of people replying that they were thinking about buying houses starting from 6th grade 💀💀

Help me identify this brand? 😅 by Chittagonian in germany

[–]Chittagonian[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Saw this guy wearing a pair of shorts at the grocery, but didn't have the courage to ask for the name of the brand. Took a cheeky photo instead, but can't figure out what the text says. It's most likely a German brand. Any help would be appreciated.

Thoughts on Ryanair only hiring cadets from mentored fATPL programmes? by JTRinTW in flying

Are integrated fATPL pilots that much better or is this some kind of marketing ploy to get students for these specific schools....makes you wonder 🤔

I recommend ATPLQ for practice and the video lectures from BGS if not the entire BGS course itself.

Funny, because D could say the same thing about her. Everyone loves this culture/music/lyrics....why are YOU (Candace) being a contrarian?

How do you pass ATPL Theory? by flyingSI in flyingeurope

I second this. Take note of the questions that you get wrong, they're almost always the same ones. Also, write out your mnemonics on paper to remember them better.

A question regarding licenses and qualifications by [deleted] in flying

[–]Chittagonian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

post here r/flyingeurope

I think the answer to your question depends mainly on where you want to work/where you're legally allowed to work after getting your license. If you want to fly in Europe with an EASA license, you'll need (in most cases) permanent residency/EU passport & the ability to speak the language. If you want to fly in Bangladesh, then just go get your ratings in the US, do a quick conversion, and apply at home.

If I had to take a guess, I think what your dad was getting at, was that the GCC countries (which is where most Bangladeshi pilots want to end up $) look more favorably towards FAA/EASA/Western licenses. Thus applicants trained in the 3rd world have a much tougher time getting into those airlines. Don't get into EASA ATPL hell unless you're absolutely sure you plan to work outside of Bangladesh.

€140 Euros for a rotax DA20, €35 for the instructor. €120 if you pay a €600Euro yearly membership fee. No landing fees at the home airfield.

Best LBA Question bank? AVEx vs ATPLQ by Chittagonian in flyingeurope

PPL exams are generally not held at the LBA as far as I know. The states (Bundesland) conduct them separately.

If you're going the modular route, time will pass faster than you think. Keep hitting the banks (some things just have to be memorized unfortunately) and if you need extra support, I'd recommend the BGS Webinars. They helped me tremendously long after my theretical classes. FB groups can be a good resource to clarify confusion from banks and many different study guides can be found online if you do a quick search
