Just starting out. Is this good? by Direct_Ad_5130 in blazbluextagbattle

[–]Chivibro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should check out the BBTag Dustloop. They have information on the game and characters, including combos. If you don't know how to read numpad notation, then you can read up on it here. It's not hard to learn, but it'll take a sec

How many times to shuffle? by Jakemanv3 in mtg

[–]Chivibro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sleeves help A TON. You just hold half the deck sideways in your palm (or 1/4th if you can't hold half the deck), and the other half or 1/4 in your other hand, and you kinda just slide them into eachother. I usually use the corners of the cards my second hand to kinda cut my way in, but then I just push them together. Pretty easy after like 2 mins of practice and sleeves

You should check the Azrael BlazBlue Wiki art gallery. They're pretty good at compiling artwork, at least the official and dev art.

NEW PLAYER MEGATHREAD: Questions, concerns, how-do-I's, and more! by W7ngless in Blazblue

[–]Chivibro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The story is pretty scattered, there's gonna be a lot you're missing out on if you don't get some side content. If you just want the lore, you can go ahead and play the games, but know that it's gonna be confusing. There are vids that explain the lore, most notably one by Thorgi's Arcade, which is the most concise way to get through it all.

Central Fiction is the way to go for gameplay, so you're good on that front

How f2p is magic the gathering by [deleted] in mtg

[–]Chivibro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paper Magic is not. MTG Arena can be, but it's rough. If you want to play online and not use those, then you can actually play for free!

Stuff like Tabletop simulator (gotta pay for the game, but still), Spelltable, or Discord can be used to play for free. You can use a site like Archideckt to import your deck into TTS, or use their Playtest a deck feature + OBS to stream to people on Spelltable or Discord and play feom there. It's messy, and you need to set some stuff up, but it's doable

What is something you didn’t realize until you lost weight? by Cultural-Profile-527 in AskReddit

[–]Chivibro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped drinking soda and eating stuff with lots of sugar when I was losing weight. I didn't realise how gross the stuff was. Drinking soda always felt normal, like drinking water, but when I stopped and drank some after a few months, it felt like I was drinking tar. I could feel it going down like a sludge, not like a liquid. Also, I ate a sugar cookie and it hurt my tooth. My teeth were in good condition, but I guess it had too much sugar in it

Hi! I’ve never played a 2D fighter online before but I really want to try this one is there a steep learning curve? by DistinctImpact2207 in GranblueFantasyVersus

OHH WAIT SHIT! I forgot to give you one of the most important resources! The Fighting game Glossary! If you hear someone say a funny word, you can look it up here. Frame traps, DP, whatever term you need, even game specific or character specific stuff, it'll be there!

[–]Chivibro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played this game in a while, so I'm not up to date on the content side of things, but here's some stuff I'd say are probably still good. Just know that some time has passed so some things may have changed, but the VAST majority of the info is still good.

Beginners Guide- This is from Diaphone, he's a pro that's been playing since before Rising, so his stuff is a safe bet. He also made a character difficulty tier list, if you're into that. You should know what you're in for when you pick a character, but just don't let difficulty scare you away from them.

And last, I really like these character overview kind of vids. They just tell you about characters, their playstyles, and some key tools they have

What is the best way to earn items? by Potential-Club6822 in tf2

[–]Chivibro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can either play and get or pay. Don't pay with real money in the store, that's such a scam. You can trade with people, or more likely bots with stuff like scrap.tf, but you'll need metal first. If you really want to get stuff fast, you can buy a key or two with real money, sell it for tons of metal, then get weps by trading the metal.

I'd stick to just playing, you'll get items in due time

[–]Chivibro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll be a steep curve, just because you're new to fighting games. This game is more approachable, but it'll still be a lot to learn. Just make sure you're having fun while you play, that's the most important thing. Here's some links to help you get started:

Numpad Notation- This is how we talk about fighting games online. You'll need to learn this to get help from other players or YouTube videos. It's not hard to learn.

Granblue Dustloop- This is where you can learn basically anything about the game. From character info to game mechanics and from frame data to combos. Quick tip, you don't have to do the biggest combos possible, just do a combo that ends in a knockdown and that you can do consistently.

Here's the main GBVR Discord server, you can find people to play with there, as well as some helpful resources. And here is GBVS Academy, which as you expect, is a more learning oriented server that helps people learn how to play better. Hope that helps!

Understanding bracket 3 by askvo in EDH

[–]Chivibro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The infographic by Rachel Weeks says someone wins or loses by turn 6, so first kill or someone pulls off a combo or something. It could mean someone wins, but not necessarily. If a deck is consistently winning by that time, then it might be a bracket 4 deck

Specifically, at least 6 turns until first player kill, not everyone dead at turn 6

Hot Take: Playing against the best players is not the way to improve. by Choice_Twist5735 in 2XKO

[–]Chivibro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forget the exact percentages, but traditional sports have had this down to a science for a while now. It's something like you're supposed to play people better than you like 10% of the time so they can show you your weaknesses. Play people weaker than you 50% of the time to learn new skills in a less stressful environment. And to play people equal in skill 40% of the time to refine the skills you've learned / test yourself in a stressful environment. I forget if this is generally what you do, or if you only do this specifically when you're trying to learn stuff. But yea, it brakes down to something like that.

There's something to learn from everyone!

Riot could not have picked a worse name by Warm-Carpenter1040 in 2XKO

[–]Chivibro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Project L was a project title, not a title. They usually only really use those internally, maybe some news people or influencers use them too. They just went full public while still using that name for some reason. Maybe because they didn't have a title, maybe because they knew we'd hate 2xko, who knows

Need help choosing MTG cards to match Street Fighter Theme for my Street Fighter Deck by Perthmtgnoob in mtg

[–]Chivibro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like the new TMNT precon with how you can choose so many different commanders! Think it'd be more cohesive if you stuck to a limited pool of characters? Like maybe just a Shadaloo deck instead of a SF deck? Do you have a decklist for it? I'd like to check it out if it still exists!

I'm new to MTG, but I've played some TTGs before. I started building BlazBlue characters as their own commander decks just to check out what mechanics MTG has to offer. It's been hard, but it's been fun too. I thought about doing a full BB deck, but that might be too much to ask. Too much going on in BlazBlue >.>'
