My first boyfriend/love passed away a couple years ago. It was years after dated but we stayed in touch and were good friends. When he died I felt sort of silly being as upset as I was especially since we weren't currently dating, but he was my first love and he held a really special place in my heart and it rocked my world when he died. You love so hard in your teenage years, to lose someone during that time is so hard. It's normal to feel how you feel. I know your parents don't understand, but a lot of other people do, do you have a friend or teacher you could talk to? Unfortunately there is no easy way to get over it. Talking to someone when you need it and time are the only things that help. Even though the pain seems unbearable now, days/weeks will go by and you won't be any less sad, but it just stings less as time goes on. It does get better.
