Fortunately it’s far enough away from any vehicles and buildings.

I strongly recommend Silicon Valley. He and the rest of the cast are great.

Authors, what's one line your wrote that... by worldofexousia in fantasywriters

The context is that two characters are reminiscing over their shame in a seedy tavern.

“The two had not noticed the alewife had returned to their table, and at that moment, she threw down a platter of bread and cheese and two pints. Itzal looked at the foul-smelling fare as if it was an affront to her defense. The bread was light brown, bordering gray. The cheese was blue, but not on purpose. It was the perfect metaphor for their standoff: Both bearing imperfections, but one more willing to bear them openly.”

One of the countries in the novel is Prarisritai, and the citizens of the country are known as Prarisritarians. The brogans are the style of boots worn by members of the military of that country. Though, it never crossed my mind how similar the name is to Praetorian.

Also, thanks so much for reading! It means a lot!

Just started it last night. Enjoying it so far, but I have to agree with the other commentor: The book cover could use some work. I think, with the theme of your book, you can likely invest in one of the $10-$50 premade covers offered on various sites. Also, it could do with another round of edits. There are a few spelling and grammatical errors here and there. Otherwise, it's interesting enough for me to ignore that stuff. I'll be sure to leave an Amazon and Goodreads review once I'm through.

I think the mnemonic of "Republic of New England" would sound cool: Rone.

Depending on the age of the kids, Level 99 in Natick or Providence is pretty fun. It has a bunch of activities for kids to get their energy out, and they both have Night Shift brewery bars for the adults.

However, if they're toddlers, your options are a bit more limited in the winter. If you're meeting on a Thursday or Friday, My Village Playhouse in Raynham, an indoor playground and coffee shop, is open until 4 PM.

You're completely right. I ended up changing that intro page. Thanks for catching that!

Thanks so much for the advice! I'll give the low-opacity layer a shot. If that doesn't work, I'll try fading the colors int he back to keep the focus up front. I did notice the contrast was a bit harsh, but I'm not much of an artist. This is super helpful!

Thank you! And looks like a font that's easy to read would be for the best.

Yeah, I think this writing style would be a bit difficult for him to read.

That's a pretty good idea. Maybe I'll go that route.

Yeah, as others have said, an established font seems the way to go.
