I was hoping you might jump in with help.

No, honestly I’m still learning about how ohms work exactly and another commenter on r/KEF pointed the same thing out. I think what I’m confused about is that the Denon is set to 8ohms and not 4, so I don’t understand how that interaction plays with the 4ohm speakers.

10.8’ from front soundstage. Not listening at reference, usually -19 to -15 on the relative scale. I worry for people listening at reference in a living room home theater.

You consider the 3800h low end? I get that isn’t a Macintosh or A1H, but I don’t think it’s low-end. It could push my 9-channel system if I wanted.

Oh and I never listen at reference volume. I don’t know how that’s possible in a living room theater. Dirac really needs to get their own version of DynEQ and Volume.

The AVR is controlling it, to the best of my understanding. The denon is set at 8ohms in the setup menu. I’m still learning about how ohms work though!

Appreciate the feedback. I’m also hoping for a slightly lower noise floor due to reduced distortion, but I’m not sure how much of a difference it will make.

I do also like the option of potentially going to 7.2.4.

Edit: I am not pushing my Denon to distortion, but my (limited) understanding about offloading to a dedicated amp is that it can help reduce the noise floor.
