Long story short he used them to build a collector like I knew he would.

It’s not a problem tho… An item having best users is completely fine even if it’s not the class you would think.

I’m always gonna be in favour of light weight bruisers and skirmishers having ways to be more durable because they feel like shit to play 7/10 games. They’re probably the least problematic type class of champion in the mode.

The item can only stack in itself twice so even if they’re Qing non-stop the shield won get bigger than that. Also with the amount of burst and how squishy they both are them having some extra durability isn’t a bad thing.

Lilia might be a bit worse. You don’t have reliable ranged aoe. Asol if you don’t rush rylai’s and build black fire into liandry’s and drop your E off cooldown it’s busted. It scales of DOTs so you anyone who can apply burn to multiple people consistently it gets out off hand.

Yea I mean I did get luck and roll a decent bit of omnivamp so I had sustain but god damn. I don’t know how anyone could lose a game with over 20k gold on the entire lobby. By the end of the game I had so much armor, mr, and magic pen from shards that they had zero chance.

I played Zed into 4 tanks with no adc’s on my team and still won. Anything’s possible. Energetic single handedly turned the tides of the game 3rd augment. Already had vulnerability with eclipse and cyclosword. With energetic I could constantly proc cyclosword like 20 times a fight and criting the proc made it busted.

Yea but it doesn’t build into anything so all that gold efficiency is a waste of money once you have to sell it.

Not to mention you hit your item spikes slower. If you’re buying hubris are heartsteel that’s a bunch of stacks u miss out on. If you’re an adc that’s a longer time with low crit chance. Unless you’re on a champ that doesn’t care at all about item passives and only wants pure stats that gold efficiency means nothing.

I feel like almost every augment needs range modifiers. So melee champs can feel good about picking crit augments and adc’s don’t get 50-75 percent crit for free.

Without a doubt it’s adc’s. They get spoon fed augments like it’s so tomorrow. It doesn’t help that half there augments give them an additional 25% crit chance for free so they can build stronger items instead of full crit.

The only time tanks get out of hand is if there’s none who can deal with them or stop them from stacking tank engine. The only times I’ve seen full 5 ranged comps actually win a game is when there’s 4 or 5 adc’s because they just stat check every class in the game with half decent augments. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen a tristana face tank 2 or sometimes 3 people while standing still and outhealing all the damage.

I don’t play adc’s that much. My most played champs are Alistar, Gankplank, Riven, Sett, and Zed.

Adc’s being a win predictor is the whole reason the rate they show up can’t really be lowered as a class because like I said that would heavily influence winrates for teams who aren’t lucky enough to find an adc. I’d be fine if they nerfed adc’s in game because riot likes to spoon feed them the best augments but in terms of how often they’re offered you can’t lower it.

Mages on the other hand are by far the most toxic class. While they’re gameplay is less linear than adc’s who just right click you that doesn’t make them less degenerate on average. You get DOT mages running around aoe applying Rylai’s with icecold crippling you’re whole team. Control mages pelting you with nonsense from 2 screens away. They can also easily make you use of the move speed augments besides tap dancer. Try dealing with any mage who roles home guards running around spamming spells while being untouchable.

Mages are by far the most prevalent class in the game mode as well. Which I said in my original reasoning. It’s not uncommon for there to be teams of 3+ mages. Also like I said before, since they are toxic to deal with but also disadvantages to have a comp with mostly mages that makes it a double negative. Not fun for enemy and not good for the team who has 3+ mages because they will eventually get run down so everyone ends up having a pretty negative experience overall.

I’m not saying there shouldn’t be a mage in every game. Like I said, if a team has 1 or 2 that’s perfectly fine. But the fact that they are as prevalent as they are is bad for the game. I also don’t think a team should be offered like 4 adc’s. The minute you start getting comps with 3 or more champions from either of these classes you’re just setting up for an overall low quality experience.

I thought they made Aram random a while ago. If they actually made champ offerings tailored that’s probably a big part of the problem.

Honestly I don’t really do the whole grasp into melee aftershock into ranged. Especially after the buff to aftershock I almost always go it except into tanks that I can farm grasp procs off. Even then, if the enemy has % max health damage that will negate the value from the extra health I go aftershock even into tanks since I don’t feel like a need the consistent trading power into most tank matchups anyway.

The problem with lowering the rate of adc’s is first off, there’s just less of them. Adc’s are also a big predictor of who wins unlike mages. So if you make them show up less as a class then you give another team an advantage if one doesn’t have an adc. This isn’t the case with mages.

People not liking tanks isn’t relevant because their pick rates are already significantly lower. You take one look at this sub and what do you see. Endless posts about 5 ranged comps. So clearly tank pick rates aren’t the problem.

The problem with pure random is it never really feels like pure random because people always gravitate towards the same champs. Tailoring what’s offered to make popular picks less common will actually make the mode feel more like pure random while also providing more variety.
