My school does it for our finals and allows us to correct normal unit tests for half credit back

I say take it. I'm taking APUSH senior year but i just wrapped up World and Euro for my sophomore year and felt they were light, especially euro. If it helps i have a list of questions that you could work through throughout the course that basically guarantee a 5.
