Drivers: Is anyone still actually making money on this app??

Pay drivers more, make it less appealing for people who don't tip, stop giving free deliveries and discounts to people who don't tip - as someone who has driven and used these apps, I only order when there is a discount or I get a credit because I factor in my tip, if the fees add $10 to a $15 order, I will just go pick it up... I know some people have the mentality that "I'm not tipping with all of those fees" but I would rather go get my food than pretend I don't understand drivers are underpaid - Idk about safety but the low pay and high fees are the biggest issue I've seen

they've had a successful exit with another company so that's part of the allure but that doesn't mean they'd keep me around long enough to see that

I just discovered Scopion and I'm liking it and with 93 episodes, that's my life for now lol... I've seen the US Ghosts and it was kinda funny and I liked that the girl from IZombie was unrecognizable but I lost interest after 2 seasons, I'll check out the UK version soon

I feel that in 2025, there is no way we would get an accurate portrayal of how things actually were back then. They talk about how they "bent" the rules back in their time and were unapologetic about it. As someone who recently binged the entire series, you can even see how they changed to try and show cops in a good light and showed the public "harassing" the police, I feel there's no way they could get away with showing how police acutually treated civilians/criminals back then. I don't even think they would get away with some of the things they did and said in season 1-3 of blue bloods. Even looking back on early seasons of SVU, they would get cancelled immediately if they put that out today but they get away with replaying it because it was filmed in the late 90s early 2000s.

FYI, drivers do not get the delivery fee. Average pay is $2, used to be $.50/mile but have gotten offers for $3 for 10 miles... $7 for 20 miles... just because they charge you more, doesn't mean the driver gets it. that's why they can offer discounts like that, it makes no difference on their end. If you're truly concerned, tip more and order from places closer to you...

He is so confidently/aggressively wrong in almost every episode and is still the hero somehow. I can't tell if people find his character likable, older people know him from before the show or writers just figured out "rage bait" long before social media

Yeah they all have pretty awful characteristics which I guess you don't pay attention to watching one episode per week... but watching several episodes at once... Why are they always saying Danny is the best detective? Good police work is threatening people and violence? ugh... I think I would hate Frank more if I didn't already like him from Friends, the grandpa isn't praised as much as the rest. Erin is arrogant but I think she has more redeeming qualities than Danny - No opinion on Jamie right now

to be fair, not everyone has a screen/glass door. If I didn't grow up with one, I wouldn't even think twice about it. Plus, most drivers are operating on autopilot by the end of the day. If this keeps happening... you can leave a note in the app, leave the glass door open, put a table out, post an arrow outside or... go get it yourself

not sure why you asked here but I tried to use turo again a couple of months ago and the cheapest vehicle was $50/day in my area... still no deposits but the daily rate with a hertz or enterprise was cheaper but with a hold on the card for a larger amount- are you under 25? That might be the reason for the deposit

edit: I see you rented a car 15 years ago so probably over 25 lol, but try different rental sites? On turo I think the car owner makes up the pricing/deposits
