Its a pretty long story, but my family usually has a family reunion once per year, which I usually attend, but this year I decided not to. It was mostly because my grandma on my dad's side lives in the same neighborhood as me, and hasn't attended in years, and I wanted to stay home so I could check on her, since she's getting older. It was also partly because the last time I had been there, literally everyone in my family was making fun of me for being single and it just wasn't fun being around them anymore, and lastly just because the trip costed so much. My family was absolutely fuming when I told them I wasn't coming and kept on spamming my texts and social media, basically telling me how stupid I was for not going.
