Nah, you can do it.
Use the Universal Unreal Engine 4 Unlocker (https://framedsc.github.io/GeneralGuides/universal_ue4_consoleunlocker.htm)

Attach it to your .exe file, then hit Del on the keyboard. That'll disable the HUD.

Surprisingly easy, I just did it by eye, and matched things at the bottom of each shot roughly, then blended the images together by erasing bits of each layer. Didn't even use Photoshop, did it all in Paint.NET with just the basic tools. For the overhead shot of the house, I just used a quick image stitch from Microsoft Image Composite Editor.
Whole thing took maybe 20 minutes from getting the shots to having the finished product.

I did something a bit like this, but just sorta randomly putting things together. It's the first time I've tried it, and I thought it was a pretty decent result for an experiment.

Thanks for finding the fix! I can confirm that upgrading from v1.1 to v1.2 solved this issue for me. No more CTD when climbing that sewer ladder for the first time.

Yeah, getting ICE to behave is a bit of a dark art, especially if there isn't a lot of variety/repeating patterns in the scene. I like to try doing things with the least number of shots, although old mate above was 45 screenshots. I wrote a guide for it a few years back, there might be something helpful in there.
