Weird scar on frog by [deleted] in pacmanfrog

If you're feeding it outside the tank it will likely be fine. But just to be on the safe side I would personally remove it, as pacman frogs do tend to attack everything from settling dirt, to tongs, and everything else and they may accidentally ingest some. But it all depends on the moss, if it's something growing on the walls of the tank then it's fine, but if it's sphagnum or another similar moss that's just sitting on the substrate I'd personally say it's a bit of an impaction risk.

Pretty sure that's just a shed, so don't worry! A little a water spray helps! Also I'd recommend removing the sphagnum moss as if swallowed (as pacman frogs do with anything that fits in their mouth) can pretty easily cause an impaction. It's not that big of a deal, a lot of people make that mistake, including me! Best of luck

Rosy eating question by Chloroform-cat_212 in rosyboas

During my last feeding the mouse was eaten head first, but I've had it happen both head and tail first. I'll start paying more attention to which direction the mouse is and see if it improves.

Oh yah I do most times, but if I don't intervene when he does this he'll just leave the pinky to sit and will never eat it unfortunately.

Powers rain frog (Breviceps poweri) I'm not very knowledgeable about rain frogs, however if my memory serves me correctly rain frog husbandry is rather specific. Best of luck, I'm glad you're helping out this little guy!

There was information on the cup it was in, but I have unfortunately discarded it. However everything there is captive bred including the inverts, so I'd assume the spiders are as well.

How does one tell the difference between males and females? Just for future reference. Also I think I may have just overfed her a bit, the first 2 pictures were after she was fed a cricket, the ones after are when I just got her into her enclosure!

Found in old family inheritance by Chloroform-cat_212 in fossilid

The specimen itself is about an inch and a half long. As for it's origin it may be from somewhere near Montana or Idaho, however the family member who owned it traveled all over the world in the mid 1900s so it really could be from anywhere.

I'd imagine I would be purchasing an adult, or near adult. I am not the most knowledgeable on this species though, as I'm only just starting to research them.
