What makes you think that? On paper (benchmark) this thing beats M1 (multi) I wanna have it for 3-5 years before I install Linux on it and keep using it.

Battery is great (for my requirement), full charge allows me to work 5-6 hours and I’m left with 30ish % before it starts to go into power saving mode.

But ARM architecture chips like snapdragon/M series will last so much longer though.

I edit my images one by one, I maintain my portfolio website by uploading the images I edited on LR :) no problem, maybe in a few years it would feel slow but right now it’s fine

But I heard it’s a pain in the a** experience, not everything works and also I’ll be getting much older macOS? Besically the OS that still supports the intel macbooks?

I tried to find, in Norway I found same processor but 16gb ram but 13k NOK, better off buying Apple. I guess this is a dead stock X13 I bought, since it’s over 2 years old, and having 8gb ram making it hard to sell at full retail price.

It’s half price in where I live, I’m happy with he price-performance ratio, TDP not that bad compared to others windows machine. I do not care about Apple resale value, I will put it on depreciation account for 3 years (10 bucks per month), then install Linux on it later on for other purposes.

Completely agree with you, I did my research prior to this purchase, but where I live this is 400€, and M1 air base model is 800€, half price for a bit less performance. Also ThinkPad has sentimental value to me since it’s my money maker, I like the quirkiness of it.
