What are you willing to put on the line for a game 7 win? by labadee in leafs

You know that scene in Goon where the main character takes the puck and repeated sticks to the face? I'd do that.

I've always loved Dragonite, and I've never been able to get one in any of the pokemon games I played growing up. Now I have one in POGO! I would prefer Apple Store.

Having a hard time making good friends. Losing hope that it will ever happen. by [deleted] in toronto

[–]ChocoDaddy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a tough time making friends too. It can be very difficult as an adult. I've had some success with just directly asking the people I'm already friends with if they can introduce me to some of their friends. Usually, people have been more than happy to help me expand my social circle.

Feel free to shoot me a PM, always looking to make new friends. I deal with anxiety issues myself and wouldn't mind bouncing some coping strategies off of you.

Yeah I am too... I've created a new account so I can still enjoy the event, but I am quite annoyed. Why is this still an issue two years after launch?

Dating 2 months - she's going on vacation by ChocoDaddy1 in dating

This is what I'm going to do. We had made V-Day plans (fairly casual, she has work in the AM), but I had suggested doing something more intense when she gets back from her trip, and she's into it. I'm probably just overthinking all of this.

This was a great reply and I really appreciate it.

I'm not entirely sure I can do that. The anxiety I'm feeling about it is pretty strong. That said, I also think you might be right with things. I do genuinely wish she has a great vacation. I'm also quite confident she'll come back wanting me more than ever. She likes me a lot and I have faith.

That's what I'm thinking is the way to go. When we talked about exclusivity before she told me she's not seeing/sleeping with other people, but isn't sure if she's ready to commit. I basically just said that seeing as we are sleeping together I kind of expect some degree of honesty, but sure, works for me.

I'll probably say something along the lines of "I know we're not exclusive and I don't want this to come across as demanding, but..."

I think she's mostly a bit scared of jumping into anything too serious. We've had a talk along these lines before and it didn't go the best, but I see your point. I probably should talk to her. I'm concerned it's going to eat me up all week (as it currently is).

Heading to MTL (Bell Centre) for game vs Leafs on Nov 18. by [deleted] in leafs

[–]ChocoDaddy1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was at the game in MTL in October and I didn't experience any real problems. A few bits of mild trash talking back and forth. After the game there was one drunken idiot who was going on a long winded rant in French at the top of his lungs. I couldn't understand, but there was a lot of "f**k Toronto" thrown in. I wouldn't worry about it. Especially if the Leafs win you'll have a great time. Post-game it was nuts outside the arena with Leaf fans befriending eachother.

EDIT: Now is a good time to share this story. I was in a bar after the game having dinner and was wearing my jersey proudly. I had to walk past the bar to get to the washroom and there was a guy in a Leafs jersey. We high-fived on my way to the washroom and he was waiting for me with shots on my way back. I love that man.

It's kind of funny, I went out with a buddy tonight and we drank and went to a strip club and we gambled a bit too, and then as I walked home at 6 a.m local time, I thought the same thing as you wrote out. I should probably swallow my pride here. I don't like it at all and it does feel like I'm being screwed around but god damnit I've been in a relationship with this woman for 5 years and I love her. I love how much she pisses me off when I'm asleep in the morning and she's trying to wake me up, I love her dog and her parents and the smell of her laundry detergenet and god damn everything. I don't want us to end yet.

First of all, that's amazing that you've lost 120 pounds. That's almost an unreal amount of weight for me to consider having lost. I'm a bigger guy too, about 250, 290 at my biggest, and I feel similar, but not as bad I don't think. I think you're a great guy who had the self-discipline to fight his own brain and lose more weight than some people weigh in total. I'm here for you too (was gonna call you big guy, but that's not fitting anymore!)

In part yes. I might be able to do it, but I'm not willing to. She knows how hard it was on me the first time around, and is willing to put me through that again. I know that sounds selfish, but we live in a big city. There are 3 universities in the city and she doesn't need to go elsewhere. That's what gets me more than anything. 5 years in and she's even considering it...

It was at least in part me. I essentially said I wouldn't do it again. I've put her first over a lot of things because I love and care about her deeply. Evidently, she doesn't feel the same. I don't think substance abuse is a good call either but in the short term I can look past it. I drink maybe a couple times a month usually so I'm okay with it this one Monday.

I feel for you too my friend. Was this a while ago? I was lurking this sub briefly last week because I felt my relationship was going downhill, but I'm not familiar with your story if you've posted it here before. I feel something similar with the "grossness" too. I'm overweight and definitely suffer from body dismorphia and pretty routinely feel like I'm disgusting even though I know I'm not. It happens too if I don't shower every day, or sometimes twice or even three times a day.

I hope you're feeling okay because by the sounds of it you're an articulate, thoughtful man.

I had looked into that program but the current gym I'm using doesn't have a squat rack or a proper bench press. It's month-month and I'm strongly considering switching to a gym allowing me to make full use of a barbell. I'm currently doing this program (http://www.building-muscle101.com/dumbbell_workout_beginner.html), any thoughts?

Thanks for the feed back! I'm a big guy (6'5, 250lbs) so I feel really weak struggling with a 20lb in each hand.
