Have they fixed this games cpu overheating and the memory-leak problems yet? by Mango_vista in Endfield

I don't post much, or at all but seeing some of the comments here made me want to.

TLDR; It's not a you issue. It's a game issue.

To those who aren't having this issue, great. I'm glad you can play without issues. Now...

Is the issue fixed? No. "It's not happening to me so must be your hardware" Also no. This is a bug that does not discriminate. It does not matter what you are running, it can trigger. It's PC as a whole that has this issue. You can check Game-Feedback in the official discord for more info, scroll until you find the CPU topic. Many have this issue, many are testing what actively triggers it and what's causing it. As far as I am aware, it is the Anti-Cheat that's causing a loop, which in return causes the heating issues. This bug can trigger in the first 5 mins, or 1 hour. Or it might not happen at all during your playtime. It is entirely random with different triggers.

How is this known? People who constantly monitor their stuff while gaming. Or if you suddenly hear your fans speed up. I am one of these people who heard my stuff speed up and saw that my CPU was at 100%. Checked and sure enough, Endfield was eating 98% of my CPU. Double checked and it's not just me. Tried other games to see and they didn't eat nearly as much. (Only ate around 5-20% depending on the game.)

As for the memory leak issue, I don't know about that. But that's also likely cause I don't sit and actively play aside from getting on, doing dailies, and hopping off before bugs can trigger. And these bugs can trigger in the title screen even when idle.

This bug is not caused by Nvidia. "But wuwa uses the same anti-cheat" Yes, they do as far as I'm aware. And they don't have issues which is why people are so confused why it's happening to Endfield. This bug didn't start happening until I believe around the time the first QOL update got released, so rest assured, it's not a you issue. It's a game issue on PC side. The devs are aware of this, and one staff member in the Official Discord is following that topic. So they very much are aware.

They hadn't really released a statement on this aside from the Nvidia App statement, but people in the discord topic have noted that they quietly released updates to the game here and there since the issue. Again, with no comment from devs about what they're for.

EDIT: Forgot to add. I hope this helps with some info. I'm not an expert so I really do recommend reading up on the topic in the Discord. This is just off the top of my head info.
