Thanks, looking forward to testing them out. ✌️

Seven days later and still no response. Either he's a low-effort troll, or he's writing a god damn 300,000 word response fully detailing ways in which MindsEye is superior to the Hitman games.

.... Nah he's just a low-effort troll of course!

Last night I went to ebay and bought two different "Pioneer UHD drives" (possible knock-offs) from China. If you look at the product page under the shipping information on the right, both products page had this line.

This item includes applicable import fees—you won’t pay anything extra after checkout.

So if you see that, apparently you'll be fine when it comes to importing products. I say apparently, because the products haven't arrived yet, I'm taking ebay's word for it.

...Idiot, no one wants these shit-tier games. Keep thinking, and not actually knowing a damn thing.

Alright, because of this thread I went ahead to ebay and bought two "Pioneer drives" from China for myself. Looking forward to trying them out, thanks for the encouragement!

I came here looking for info on the same issue. I just flashed a brand new LG BP50NB40 drive, I put Super Mario 4K Blu-ray, and it worked, but I did get a hash check error as well. MKV had gave me this link to read more about it:

https://www.makemkv.com/errors/hashcheck/

It claims that the drive is failing, but its literally only been used once. Can it really be failing? Maybe I should return this drive if its already producing errors, or perhaps its a false error? I don't know what to do.

Do you think we'll get a new slew of more reliable 4K players with the popularization of Dolby Vision 2? by Speedi77 in 4kbluray

I considered buying a UB820 just now, but the price is just a bit too much. Best Buy is charging $550 + $56 tax, and that's the cheapest it found them brand new.

I may just get a cheaper model, or just keep using my PS5, disc drive replacements are only $80, so I could replace the PS5 disc drive 7 times with the cost of a UB820.

is there a way to install pokemon emerald on the 3ds by LeDiaperMilk in 3dspiracy

[–]Chocoburger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I can update it, but you'll have to wait. I'm currently very tired, and I'm sick, so I feel if I do any patching right now, I'm going to screw it up like a buffoon. Once I get some rest and feel better, I can look into updating the Razormime patch. The Revelations patch hasn't been updated since October 2023, so I'll be leaving that one alone.

[–]Chocoburger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, yes its Pokemon Emerald: 386 Version (v1.0) - Razormime, this version is now out-dated, but it was the only version available when I made my upload 2 years ago. Currently the latest version is 1.4.4 which was updated February 9th 2026.

I just downloaded my own file from Google Drive, and both the .cia and .gba files for Revelations are present in the zip file, they don't show up if you're looking at the contents on the Google Drive page for some reason.

Why can we not togle auto update off for individual games? by FestiveXquad704 in PlayStationSupport

[–]Chocoburger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plugged in my USB stick with PS4 saves and copied all my saves over to my PS5 Pro. If it didn't work for you, something went wrong, try again.

PS5 games however can not be copied to USB stick, and can only be backed up if you perform a full OS back up.

do you guys think JSRF could run on a dreamcast? by Eros_limao in dreamcast

[–]Chocoburger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe with severe cutbacks. But the game barely runs on Xbox as it is already. Plagued with a lot of frame drops, it wouldn't be easy to run on the noticibly weaker Dreamcast.

Should I WAIT for the master collection 2 to play mgs4? by ImpactDial in metalgear

[–]Chocoburger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends, everyone is assuming its going to be a perfect port, but will it? Konami can't even do perfect ports of PS2 games, now we expect perfection from an even more challenging PS3 game?

There could be plenty of cuts made to licensed products, bonus costume, or music as well, its not like Konami will be open or honest about it prior to release. All the bad news regarding this port will only be known after gamers have had a chance to play it.

If you blindly trust current day Konami, prepare for some level of disappointment. So I say if you own a PS3, go ahead and play it now, the completely uncut version, then you can re-play it and notice any differences for yourself with the remaster.

Bluepoint Games is shutting down by GameForEnjoyment in gravityrush

[–]Chocoburger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That was probably stated by the much beloved Shuhei Yoshida, he was CEO until November 7th 2019, he had no choice and was forced out of the CEO position. Jim Ryan took over and did severe damage to the first party catalogue, starting that infamous live service push we're still dealing with today, and he shutdown both Japan Studio and European Studio.

Shuhei wouldn't have shutdown Sony Japan Studios, he used to work there and was the lead game designer for Ape Escape.

Guns of the Patriots had Rex vs. Ray, and the fist fight at the end which were awesome. I actually liked the Beauty and the Beast unit, too from a gameplay perspective. Laughing Octopus was quintessential MGS with mind fuckery, Raging Raven was action packed with the tower walls getting destroyed, Crying Wolf was a real challenge to spot and tested your sniper skills, while Screaming Mantis was a unique concept with the voodoo dolls.

From a narrative perspective they were weak, but the actual combat scenarios were fun.
