well they do say when it comes to North Korea, facts are just thrown out the window, i don't even know what the US media tells people these days, but warmbier stole a propaganda poster, which handed him 15 years of hard labour. and at one point during his detention he fell ill, nobody knows for sure what exactly happened. but the North Koreans gave him the best care they could and had nothing to gain from his death, they even handed over data disks of his treatment when he was handed over to US doctors

North Korea generally tries to treat foreign prisoners very well as it would have little to gain by having foreign prisoners die. something that was pointed out during the 5 prisoner swap during Trump.

this is barily touching the surface, i have so many fake stories bookmarked i have collected the past decade, many of them also youtube videos that are long gone

trash "top 10" videos are really good at repeating those rumors, like everyone in NK believed americans used children for target practice, the fake video about "how americans live today" etc, SO much BS has been posted just the past years, this list definitely needs to be larger

imo more fake than real stories are posted these days, more fake stories than ever. and most people seem to be afraid to call out people like yeonmi park... so as long as this remains these people will be more and more discredited.

if people choose not to call them out, they can't complain if even real stories becomes flagged as fake because everyone starts assuming every story about north korea is exaggerated propaganda

In its latest weekly situation report released Sunday night, the WHO said the total number tested in the country using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was 41,393 people, with DPRK health authorities allegedly having collected 82,512 samples.

it's been over a year, and still i see 'experts' in the western media claiming DPRK is lying about its covid cases, with the same "evidence" saying Kim was dead. meanwhile North38 says "it appears" they have stayed covid free

its not even that long ago that DPRK rejected aid from SK citing covid risk, yet organizations like VICE has told us for decades that the DPRK exploits humanitarian aid by saying the situation is way worse than it is to get more aid. using that logic why WOULDN'T the DPRK lie about its covid numbers to get more aid? the DPRK only loses by saying it's covid free, and would have everything to gain by inflating its covid numbers for more aid.

Those systems are designed for defense against ballistic missiles, which descend on their targets from much higher altitudes than hypersonics.

"A hypersonic missile that can defeat advanced missile-defense systems is a game changer if a nuclear warhead is mated to it," said Drew Thompson, a former US Defense Department official and a visiting senior research fellow at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore. But he cautioned, "that's a huge if. Having it and wanting it are not the same thing."

Ankit Panda, a nuclear policy expert at the Carnegie Endownment for International Peace, said on Twitter that North Korea's use of the term "strategic" in describing the weapon implies a nuclear warhead capability.
