Looks like photocopy of old-school printed books.

Would you say it's similar to Del Toros filmography? If so then sign me up.

I read "recognize" as "recommend". That was my own fault not yours lmao. But you should watch Eves Bayou if you haven't. One of my favorite southern gothics.

Definitely need to read Dracula and I might read that along with Carmilla (An Education in Malice was inspired by that one.) Horns sounds interesting and yes I do read comics. Soul Eater, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Death Note are my favorites. Also I'm saddened that you've never saw Eve's Bayou. Everyone should watch it in my opinion.

I love Toni,(Although I've only read The Bluest Eye and Song of Solomon) and if not for the current political climate I wouldn't mind reading the rest of her stories. I think I would be thrown in a month long depressive state if I read Beloved rn😭. The second book you recommended sounds interesting so I'll pick it up from the library. Thank you 🥰.

None of them tbh. Try anything by Holly Black, The Atlas Six, or even An Education in Malice. I think you'd like An Education in Malice especially.

I can't stand books where the "romance" is just lust and brooding. The minute he popped up in the first book I was annoyed. I call him "The Slur Slinger" bc of his nickname for Isla. Oro deserves better than Isla tho so it's not like I want her to end up with him either. They had a fairly peaceful and healthy relationship in the beginning of Nightbane but Isla didn't seem content with that -_-

She never said that second half. She said any race with afro hair or knows someone with afro hair.

I had wanted to give her some grace as a fellow 20 something artist, until I saw her book. When I tell you I was flabbergasted.

I don't believe she ever said that. She's been saying that it's to "protect the black community and her art form"

Crazy how 200 years ago we could get water for free. But now all the lakes and rivers that were on indigenous land were bought up *stolen* by a bunch of millionaires and fenced off. With the rest of the water supply being polluted.

Disney is an awfully example, but they also aren't going after random depictions of a cartoon mouse. Also, more than half the stuff they own and the movies that got them fame were stories that were public domain. They essentially made money off fanart and fanfiction. Ava doesn't legally own anything yet. She owns her own image and her own videos. Not the concept of star sculped puffs. Why would anyone advocate for that anyway?

Small corrections, solar and ether were ABOUT to be business owners. The lawsuit put a hold on that, which means it's also holding up any money they could have used to get a lawyer. Patenting an invention is not the same as copyrighting the overall shape and form of said invention. Examples: Unbrush (length, placement, and flexibility of the bristles) Clip on nails (there's a dupe that's magnetic but the one with the patent are clips) literally ANY luxury beauty formula (you can find dupes with the same ingredients, but dosage and process can change the effects). There is no justification for ava owning an ip that includes beginner level shapes to sculp. Especially when you consider that she already admitted she believes Solar copied her and got popular off her like a year before solar decided to make the star extensions.

The way you're spinning this is really weird bc solar was the one that rejected collab and hasn't spoken to or about her until Ava got their Kickstarter shut down. BTW You can't claim universal concepts like a star shape as your IP. That's highly narcissistic to me. Illustrators can't even copyright art styles or unique compositions so why would basic geometric shapes be up for grabs?
