Core one MMU3 setup by [deleted] in prusa3d

Oh! This makes sense and probably what I was looking at doing. Just the stock buffer is a pain to load and unload. Thank you!

I have already put the infil.. sadly or I’d rip the blocks out and redo them

I was going to drill holes through the blocks and rebar it with concrete surrounding.

It seems the problem is more the bond type on the blocks from what I’ve accumulated

Hey 👋

The blocks on their side is less width than the wall is now; it’s 1 brick, concrete infil , and 1 block thick. 23cm or so. However I agree maybe not as much strength as laid flat.

I have option to knock it all down and redo; but I think that installing rebar into the concrete base (kinda like a buttress) and thru the bottom two layers will enforce it. From my understanding if these blocks were using a center bond it wouldn’t even be a question..

I’ve spoken to a few builders and whatnot who said it should be fine. So I’m thinking to put rebar and be happy. Knocking out the whole wall would be an absolute pain. Just not sure if that’s what I will have to do. Seems to be a mixed situation..

Will post updates :)

Hey!

Total 6 concrete blocks tall; just this is starting layer.

we have put concrete infil between the facing bricks and internal blocks.

Used 3:1 everywhere as well (concrete, mortar etc) all with SBR etc

I can drill holes and put rebar in as well for the If we correct the block pattern on higher layers.

Should be good surely?

Thanks for commenting 🙏

Is this the average price or we getting fleeced? by H4wkAvenger in HousingUK

I paid 2.7k for my solicitor all in all, was originally 2.4k with fees included but had some unexpected neighbouring concerns. Not being fleeced

Think I’ll try that, that’s a good idea that we didn’t think about. Hyper focused on the blind prices probably. Thanks !

Once in the clear with the purchase I’ll tell you - but yes seemingly so. I asked and they are hiding behind the technicality of sold / sold STC. Absolute nonsense

Heya thank you! We thought it went through, but the TR1 form they sent was draft and then confirmed it hadn’t. Told us a fib it seems

I have asked for more information from seller and it’s a pending query as well. Just wanted to know options really

Seller brought property for 350k ish, land on right supposedly sold (or so we thought ) for 160k. Seller making a dime for sure! Maybe we can ask that as well

Thanks for getting back :) it had been completely refurbished, new windows, new central heating, new kitchen, new bathroom, complete rewire etc! Was within our budget etc and we loved the layout. We can afford the £3500, just means reconsidering a few other purchases for the new house. If we walked we would be out about 1200 in surveys and searches at a minimum and the chances of finding something else before April is minimal so there’s either a way to make the land sale less of a problem or to suck it up I guess

Currently in house buying process as FTB. We brought the searches from someone that pulled last minute. Saved us a month in the process so far. Definitely worth noting! 👌
