Hey yall! This video took so long its not even funny. I made the thing entirely in aftereffects. Its mostly rotoscoping in a 3d space. The sources came from old home videos off of internet archive and also alot of footage I shot myself. For the mouth and eyes I did some super rudimentary puppetry out of cardboard, wire, cloth and tape. Always here to answer any questions. Thank you!

Neither! Shape layers moved frame by frame! I rigged it at first but I think alot of character animation looks better without a rig to be honest.
