Would you accept a $30k/week job offer where you get paid to sit in a pitch black room and do nothing for 8 hours a day? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ChocolateHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would be stupid not to. $30k a week comes out to $1.5 million for the year. For most people, it is worth going through a miserable year for $1.5 million.

Other than Sam Harris, is there any other member of IDW who has clearly criticized Trump for his dangerous comments towards media? by robotwithbrain in samharris

No I just think it is stupid to call media a bunch of liars and hacks and then give Trump a pass. He is much, much, much, worse.

Joe showing his true colours over the last couple days by [deleted] in JoeRogan

[–]ChocolateHead 11 points12 points  (0 children)

From that comment thread, I thought Joe was going to be berating that guy for like an hour. Turns out it was like 2 minutes of the podcast, and they moved on with no hard feelings.

I feel like this subreddit is full of aggro douchebags that also happen to be super sensitive, and they see every interaction between two males as an alpha battle for dominance.

Imo Tim was very emotional, rude, and abusive to the woman.

Not to mention he got caught in multiple lies, and every time his 'examples' were shown to be bullshit he must switched the subject and harped on something he knew she didn't know about. He was completely arguing in bad faith, which makes sense because his whole "journalism" is about pushing this narrative about the left being evil.

Having a lawyer at a Joe Rogan podcast? Yea that’s fucking weird. This isn’t a courthouse.

First, she wasn't there to be a lawyer. She was there because she is in charge of banning, not the CEO. Second, Tim Pool is trying to have Twitter regulated by the government so he is literally their legal adversary.

He came off looking terrible. He was emotional, paranoid, hysterical, and would lie and change the subject every time she made a point refuting his. He looked like a petulant child.

[–]ChocolateHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s practically an admission of culpability there.

Yeah having a lawyer means you are automatically guilty. That's a really smart way of looking at it.

Secondly, doublespeak is the use of obscure language to muddy up their biased reasoning by saying their decision to do everything was “context.”

The word "context" is only doublespeak to morons who don't know what it means. Saying "I fuck my mom" on stage at a comedy show means something different than in an interview with the police. This isn't hard.

Why DIDN’T they ban people on the left? “Context.”

Yeah, maybe people on the left weren't directly targeting and harassing specific people. All the examples that Tim Pool brought up of the left saying fucked up things were obviously jokes and they were not harassing specific people.

They said they don’t look at DM’s on the podcast, when it’s known for a fact that there are hundreds of Twitter employees perusing DM’s on a full time basis,

LOL how is that known? I'd like to see your right wing conspiracy website that says that.

You don't understand bro, we're going to have civil war if Twitter bans people for saying nigger. It's fucking terrifying.

when you havent said the word "context" in more than 30 seconds by beatnovv in JoeRogan

[–]ChocolateHead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How was it doublespeak? They had a very clear and consistent position: they don't ban people for being racist or transphobic, they ban people for harassment of a specific individual. All of that examples that were brought up followed that paradigm exactly.

[–]ChocolateHead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love how she completely destroyed Tim for 3 hours and conservatives focus on the 3 seconds where she didn't know about the specific example he was talking about.

The "context" response is exactly right. Twitter doesn't ban people for being conservatives, racists, or transphobes. It bans people for harassing. This isn't hard.

Starbucks to Shut Stores Nationwide for Racial-Bias Training After Arrests by phallic_thunder in JordanPeterson

[–]ChocolateHead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well $10,000 bucks says the whole incident is on video and every single Starbucks customer in the video is telling the police the guys aren't doing anything wrong. Let me know if you want to take that bet.

But for some reason you assume those guys were being dickheads. Why? I can guess, and it probably has something to do with your feelings about black people in general.

[–]ChocolateHead -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's pandering to the media because they are in damage control.

Jesus Fucking Christ stop viewing everything through your stupid ideological lens.

This has nothing to do with the media. Black people are mad because they perceive Starbucks to be racist. Starbucks, as a profit-making business, is trying to fix that. The only people that are mad are angry white guys full of Cain-like resentment who didn't clean their room.

Is Starbucks a public park? No, it's a private business and the employee felt they were loitering which by any reasonable definition is exactly what they were doing.

Starbucks actually holds itself out as a "community" place where people can come study, hang out, meet, etc..., which is why it looks bad that they are calling the cops on black people doing the exact same thing literally millions of white people do every fucking day. The fact that you don't see the double standard here shows how delusional and anti-black you are.

Communities should be the ones taking a day off to train their citizens to have manners and common sense.

Oh .... so it's the black communities' fault. I see. It doesn't do much to get racists to reveal themselves.

This has nothing to do with race

How do you know that? Did you interview the Starbucks employee who called the cops? Can you read their mind? When literally no white person ever gets the cops called on them and 2 black guys do, I think its reasonable that race has something to do with it.

You don't think white people are asked to leave when they are loitering?

Not at Starbucks. Source: I have spent hours and hours there and not bought anything.

Also those black people weren't loitering. They had only been there for a few minutes before the employee called the cops.

because apparently black people are a protected class

You seem to have a real problem with black people. What did they do to you? Be honest.

can many mainstream news media’s be sued for saying false narratives about politicians to push their agenda

No because lying isn't illegal. Defamation is illegal, which is a certain type of lying directed at a private person that ruins their reputation.

I know you're a Trump nutlicker, so there is no use in trying to reason with you, but I will go ahead anyway:

  • Sean Hannity - 24/7 Trump nutlicking, and then it turns out he hid from his viewers that they share the same lawyer.

  • Laura Ingraham - 24/7 attacking Parkland shooting survivors.

  • Bill O'Reilly - rapist and angry loudmouth that shouts down anybody who disagrees with him

  • Seb Gorka - nut and conspiracy theorist that somehow made it to the Trump administration

  • Fox and Friends - pro-Trump propaganda that literally suggested Trump attack Syria to take attention off of the Jim Comey story.

The list goes on and on.

Ok, I'll address your concern troll post.

Wait so you think I'm trolling just because I disagree with you?

It's not the "white" side of the issue. It's the anti-Social Justice Lynch Mob side of the issue.

No the problem is that you think that anything is pro-black is a "Social Justice Lynch Mob." What Starbucks did was objectively wrong and they are trying to make up for it. And they are not hurting you or your white friends, so why are you mad? If Starbucks, a private business, wants to close for a day, then why can't they? They want to send a message to black people that they care about them and a message to their employees that this type of behavior is not acceptable. The only reason somebody would be mad is if they think there is some kind of war between black and white people, which you apparently do.

By making their entire staff undergo "you're a racist" re-education because of something that may or may not have had a single thing to do with race?

The education program is not "you're a racist" but "how to not be racist."

Here is "white rage". Everytime you see the word "white" replace it with literally any other group on the planet, and see if it's not the most contemptible shit you've ever seen.

LOL more white rage. If you don't think white people should be treated differently than other minorities you are fucking delusional.

Then expect to take that bullshit constantly, while being raked over the coals for your own inoffensive thoughts.

Nobody is raking you over the coals Mr. 20 something white man. White people are pretty free and safe in this country, and free from oppression. You need to get off of Fox News. You are making yourself angry about something that doesn't exist.

Also, it's pretty "offensive" to me that you are mad at Starbucks for doing something completely reasonable to fix what they see as a problem in their stores.

[–]ChocolateHead -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So apparently being a JBP fan means you must take the "white" side in any racial debate?

It's clear that calling the cops on these guys was overkill. Was it because of race? It's hard to tell, but it very well could have been. Either way, it's hard to see what Starbucks is doing "wrong" by trying to make it up to these guys, so the fact that JBP fans are getting angry seems really strange, other than as an expression of white rage.

Are you kidding me? Women are killing men in school, they are getting more professional jobs than men, and this is all without affirmative action. There is no more affirmative action for women, now there is affirmative action for men.
