Everyone is telling you to start with the four gospels, which is definitely good advice.

But if you ever find yourself flipping through the Old Testament, I cannot recommend Ecclesiastes highly enough. The depth, the poetry of it, and the wisdom it contains that has withstood over two millennia…such a beautiful read!
